Paradox Interactive has released the first gameplay trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 which will be using Unreal Engine 5. This trailer will give you an idea of the new version that The Chinese Room is creating. So, be sure to give this trailer a go.
In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, you get to explore the World of Darkness and climb the ranks in the vampire world. The game takes place in Seattle, a city full of fascinating and sometimes dangerous people and groups. This sequel to the beloved classic lets you make choices that can shake up the balance of power.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has faced a lot of development problems. It got its first delay in October 2019. Then, in August 2020, Paradox delayed it for the second time. But in February 2021, it said it was delayed indefinitely. Finally, in September 2023, the publisher stated that the game changed hands to a new developer. As such, Bloodlines 2 now targets a Fall 2024 release.
Now while Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be using UE5, we don’t know whether it will take advantage of Nanite or Lumen. However, we can expect this game to support DLSS 2 and FSR 2.0. Again, there is no word on whether there will be support for DLSS 3 or FSR 3.0.
Paradox Interactive plans to release this game in 2024.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first VTMB once it got patched enough by Wesp5 to the point it wasn’t completely broken but I don’t expect much from this new one. If it turns out that it’s worth a playthrough a year after it’s been released and finally patched and polished by Paradox then that will be cool but if not I won’t be disappointed because I’m not going to listen to the hype on mainstream media and then end up disappointed when reality sets in
It’s being cobbled up together by Chinese Room with all the assets leftover from Hardsuit Labs.
This is going to be a disaster, I expected mediocrity from Hardsuit, I expect Gollum level trash from this.
Not a fan of how corpses disappear as if they’re robots in a simulation.
It does look kind of cool for pre-alpha, but I’m skeptical about AI and writing.
I had the same reaction to the stupid body disappearing effect.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH WTF IS THIS ACCENT? WHAT IS THIS VOICE ACTING? THESE STUPID DORK FACES.
What are those graphics? It looks like vampire game by the dishonored studio, redfall or something, too colorfull, what is this punching animation, is this a comedy?
and of course you play as a lesbian short haired racially ambiguous woman form the saints row reboot, and of course you got someone in your head talking to you so you wont get bored and of course you got repetitive dream sequences to extend gameplay because the devs are mentally ill losers. Wtf is this crap? I did not like the first game much but it did make you feel like a vampire, it was dark and goth, this on the other hand feel like the ramblings of the mentally ill troon redditor writer on twitter.
Utter trash, its like everyone with any talent has left the industry.
The guy on the left would be perfect in a psychological thriller.
want this game to turn out good a la Dead Island style … but the gameplay from the video seemed pretty generic
Gonna be honest, I genuinely wanna give this game a ‘ try’ Since I enjoyed playing the original but I just can’t, it looks clunky, I could almost bet that it even plays that way as well. The graphics look fine… I also gotta say that it reminds me of Dying Light mixed with Thief but done in a poorer way… And what the f*ck is up with her hairstyle? Its so over-the-top gay.
The original deserves at least a remaster though.

is this the result of Gender Queering?
EDIT:
gameplay wise — hot damn! I hope people who preordered this shit are happy with their 3-year old investment’s return!
EVERYTHING IS BAD, the visuals, the writing the gameplay holy sht, my expectations were low but holy fck.
wait a minute she is not a vampire … she is a strong, independent wehman
Don’t fall for the social engineering … 😉
It’s exactly what they want (the ruling elite).
clicks play oh look its that amerimutt d*ke from saints row reboot.
AHAHAHHAHA Fck this industry.
“First gameplay trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2”
I remember that happening years ago. There was a full demo in fact.
Now watching this I’m baffled. A first person brawler? That’s what they came up with? I guess it was already the direction they were headed but it’s just so clumsy to watch. How did this game not get canceled years ago when it first ran into problems? Who is the target audience, Dead Island players? Wtf
The author’s ability to make a compelling case for their argument is commendable.
The author’s ability to draw connections between the topic and everyday life is commendable.
Another D.O.A.
FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from the first Bloodlines , a Dishonored clone without honor !
So it looks like a detour from the previous bloodline games, in terms of game design and -play?
