As Amicia, your job is to keep your little brother Hugo and yourself safe from a dangerous sickness, hordes of rats, and dangerous people.
Developed by Asobo, A Plague Tale: Innocence featured amazing graphics when it came out. In fact, it was on our list for the Best PC Graphics of 2019. Not only that but it performed well on a variety of PC configurations.

This is one of the best looking games you can find but the “game” part is very shallow.
This games autosave system completely ruined the experience for me. I got hard locked into an impossible encounter because I didn’t take the intended path, and with no way of fixing it other that to RESTART THE ENTIRE GAME! Well anyway, I hope whoever tries this has better luck than I did.

yeah I was all excited and it did look awesome but it was a glorified walking sim most of the time, lots of go from this button prompt to this one etc nah gone. Stuttery as well.
It’s as much a walking sim as The Last of Us is.

This isn’t a “walking sim” in any shape or form.
It’s a stealth game. You’re luring enemies, distracting them by throwing objects, killing them with slingshots, using fire to manipulate rats.
There’s barely anywhere where you can just walk without encountering enemies except for the fortress and the city at the end of the game.
Saying it’s a “walking simulator” is like saying the Thief series are walking simulators, it makes no sense.
I was playing requiem now that I looked into it never played this but can’t imagine it’s much different, and yeah it’s shallowaf stealth from what I remember and way.too.curated gameplay. The triggering of you trolls is very strong here, serious emotional attachment to a game, sad clowns.
Absolutely great game, unfortunate it’s a rerun.

The game isn’t bad, but it isn’t great either.
This is another “Escort Mission” type of game, there may not be many such games on the market, but it is a type of gameplay that players do not like.
The escort is varied with chases, sneaking, puzzles and avoiding combat, the same as in the previous game.
Here, up to about ~70% of the game, the game is good, but then it slopes downwards, the game turns into a very linear “shooter”, it’s very chaotic, stupid and nonsense.
The creators probably stopped caring and made the last 30-35% of the game tragically wrong.
Plague Tale: Innocence is the first game made in 2019. They are not giving away the newer Requiem game. Epic already gave Innocence away for free in July 2021.
It’s not the first game they made actually. They used to do movie tie-in games.
OK, but I never said it was the devs’ first game, merely that it was first Plague Tale.

So offering games that people actually want, Epic/Tencent must be getting desperate.
They are been doing that for a few years already.
Im a SP gamer, so your comment is debatable.
SP as in Single Player? Some quality games they already offered: Metro Exodus, Elite:Dangerous, Death Stranding, GTA V, Ghostwire:Tokyo, Fallout New Vegas/3, and much more.
These are all available for quite cheap on other platforms, so no reason to have to endure EGS and having your data phoned home to Tencent.
Cope. Free is better than whatever you think is cheap. I used to play Elite:Dangerous and Death Stranding on EGS, and there is not much to complain about the launcher and i don’t care if some chinese company or steam get my data.
I enjoyed it just as much as you will be able to accomplish here. You should be apprehensive about providing the following, but the sketch is lovely and the writing is stylish; yet, you should definitely return back as you will be doing this walk so frequently.
