VAMPIRE THE MASQUERADE BLOODLINES 2 Pre-Alpha screenshots-1

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 will officially release in Fall 2024

Paradox Interactive and World of Darkness have released a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 in which they revealed the game’s release date window.

According to the teams, Bloodlines 2 will release in Fall 2024. So, I guess that rumored October 2023 release date was inaccurate after all.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, players will enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society. Players will experience Seattle – a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots and schemes will change the balance of power. Or at least that’s what the developers claim.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been in development hell for a while. Its first delay came in October 2019. Then, in August 2020, Paradox announced a new delay and release date. And in February 2021, the game was indefinitely delayed.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

  1. Let us hope the game wont be as cringe as this trailer

edit: at this point I am afraid to ask what on earth is going on.

    1. It will be as cringe as this outsourced trailer, this is the Chinese Room, the studio known for Walking Simulators like Dear Esther and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.
Vampire the Masquerade is an IP known for branching gameplay and storylines which is the complete opposite, even moreso with Bloodlines which was extremely ambitious for the time and would have been well received if not for Activision sending it to die.

The only reason this garbage sequel was set in Seattle was because the older devs, Hardsuit Labs, were based on Seattle, so they knew how life there was.
Chinese Room is a British studio so they’ll completely f*k up the city.

This is a disaster in the making, they’re just stiching some mediocre crap together until 2024 so Paradox can get some of the money they sunk into this failed project back.

      1. i will open a therapy center for myself and others who have been hurt bad by games like thi4f and such. I sense profit

          1. I feel you patient one 🙂 waiting 2 decades for a complete ripoff and occupation of the title is huge pain.

        1. They use peoples emotional attachment to IPs/brands to sell their trash, everything that has a cult following needs to be dug up and shat up for easy profit.

          1. it is amazing to me how this can be done without any backlash. It may be an unpopular opinion but to me BG3 was the same, despite it is a good game. Customizable penis size and s3x scenes? Really? Is that what you spend your resources on? Wtf.
Alan woke 2 is also a thing that I could have never imagined happening.

            What is going on? 🙁

          2. Complete lack of standards by a newfound consumer base, lack of dissent and discussion due to social media censorship and peer preassure viral marketing.

Companies are using nostalgia from already established fanbases to grab some attention with an old title while making something completely different, usually fot the worst.

    2. I’ll admit i haven’t played the original, but this trailer by itself doesn’t look bad! I don’t see the cringe. It seems to have a decent chance of being decent if it has 1 year to go…
I kinda want it to turn out good if only for the legendary status of the first one.

PS : John, there’s another Behind The Scenes trailer.

      1. well, I was mainly disappointed by the focus of the slowmo action stuff and some women singing for some reason. What the hell is this music? I mean maybe the trailer was done by a completely different team that has nothing to do with the real team who is making a faithful sequel with top voice actors and writers focusing on the story and the rpg elements. The music… 🙁 ouch.

      2. Play the original, to this day it’s still one of the most unique games out there and the mocap they did still holds up to this day, it’s even better than Half Life 2 which came out the same year.

  3. I’m not sure if Paradox really believes that they can recoup the amount of money to finish the game from future sales. This is not the normal situation where a Publisher can dump a half-a*sed game on the market expecting the name recognition and fond memories of playing the first game to get them sales of the new game anyway even if it does turn out to be a turd.

From my observations over the years not many gamers have ever played the first Bloodlines and quite a few haven’t ever even heard of it before this game was announced years ago.

    1. Dead Island 2 is a perfect example of a good effort making reasonable money after a protracted period in development hell

  4. This “game” is nothing more than an attempt at recouping some of the costs spent on its ridiculous development cycle by releasing whatever garbage that can be labeled as a “final product”.

There is absolutely no chance this will be good, no chance that this game will receive updates or support after its release from the company. They are simply hoping to take the money from the suckers that preorder or buy day 1 and abandon dedicating any further resources to it.
