A new rumor surfaced earlier today, suggesting that CI Games’ Lords of the Fallen will release on October 13th. This rumor comes from “Aggiornamenti Lumia” who has a pretty solid record regarding leaks.

My guess is that CI Games will officially reveal the game’s release date at the Summer Games Fest 2023 event. Still, and since this is a rumor, we suggest taking this release date with a grain of salt.
Lords of the Fallen will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and it will feature really high-quality textures. Furthermore, the game will be using UE5’s Chaos Physics for advanced simulation for clothes, chains, hair, belts and a whole lot more.
It’s also worth noting that Lords of the Fallen will take advantage of UE5’s Lumen GI. Not only that, but Hexworks has created its own custom toolset within Unreal Engine 5 to allow them to intricately create two environments side by side.
Now in case you’re wondering, yes. CI Games has changed the game’s title from “The Lords of the Fallen” to “Lords of the Fallen”.
Stay tuned for more!

That cover alone is giving me that good ol’ 2000s vibes. So excited for this.
I want to play this but I know it will be Denuvo’d. So I will wait 2 years to play it atleast. By then bugs would’ve been sorted out hopefully. Too bad that we won’t get to continue as Harkin.
That’s typical modern gaming trend for ya 😉 But let’s hope its good and also on gog. But then again maybe I’m wishing too much.
yep harkin was a man’s man.
Still no mummy game i’m afraid. But at least you get to play as Sauron…
Ah…that one dear game Rebellion won’t make never. The irony that movie franchise is ded too. At this point, considering the current ultragen-rights era, I don’t know if its worth wishing for something good from hollywood or western gaming.
i dont like rumors
CGGames is planning to release the game in Q4 2023, as mentioned in the latest trailer, so it’s more than a rumor.
oh nice, I can’t wait to

….30 minutes later
I took down the boss mom
yes that sums up every action rpg in existence quite nicely
Only a tiny minority of “action RPGs” have bosses with a huge health pool that require a repetitive, very defensive playstyle to wittle down. The “30 minutes later” should have clued you in what his specific complaint is. Now in my words: Soulslikes are full of tedious discipline checks where you have to pay full attention for loooong stretches of time, executing the same actions over and over with no mistakes or you’re set back and have to repeat the whole ordeal from the start. Soulslike players have accepted that this is how a “boss fight” or even just a somewhat important but generic enemy works. This is what those games are about for the most part. It’s NOT like every other action game or every other RPG.
Typically you have the casual RPGs like FF where you have tedious fights but they don’t involve being on the edge of your seat having to execute perfectly the whole time, and you have the more skill- / action-heavy games where you do have to pay attention but encounters are typically over much faster, possibly in less than two minutes. Lastly you have traditional action (minus the RPG) titles like the Arkham games where fights can last quite long and also take some skill, but neither factor is every pushed as far as Soulslike tend to.
