Here are some brand new beautiful 4K screenshots for Forza Motorsport

A few days ago, Microsoft released some brand new 4K screenshots for the next Forza game, Forza Motorsport. Forza Motorsport will release later this year, and these screenshots will give you a glimpse at its graphics.

Forza Motorsport will feature over 500 real-world cars at launch. Moreover, the game will pack more than 800 unique upgrades and custom modifications. Not only that, but the game will start with 20 environments featuring multiple track layouts for players to master.

Turn10 Studios was able to depict 10 times more realistic detail including highly detailed vegetation and overgrowth. And, since people have criticized the previous Forza games, this new Forza Motorsport will include tens of thousands of fully animated 3D spectators.

It’s also worth noting that the game will have dynamic time of day with weather including track temperatures, wet driving surfaces and rubbering in for each track.

Lastly, Forza Motorsport will have real-time Ray Tracing on track.

Enjoy!

  1. game will have dynamic time of day with weather using raytracing global illumination

This game will look great on modern PC with RTX or RDNA3

    1. RTGI will be ONLY available in replays (perhaps modders may be able to unlock it as they did with the RT Reflections for Forza Horizon 5). The on track ray tracing will be reflections

      1. MS never said that. Game have full dynamic time of day and this will be very hard without RT.

Old games have only 3 versions of textures with backed lighting and this took 100 GB in Forza Motorsport 7. Game with this level details and backed lighting for multiple times of day will be too large. Without backed lighting and without RT wil look worse than Forza Motorsport 7. Only with RTGI you can create game with level details of Forza and any part of day

BTW. Metro Exodus RT use RTGI on Xbox at 1080p 60fps (upscaled to 4K). Forza with fixed camera on closed tracks is much simpler than Metro.

With fixed camera you know at any point of track which elements will be visible from each position. You know that before you compute first ray. You don’t need compute thousands of rays when your camera viewport is fixed on car and car position is limited by track. Metro Exodus need a lot more rays because player can go everywhere and look at any direction

        1. Dude, this is known for a long time (that RTGI is only for replays/photo mode). Instead of writing generic stuff, make sure to know the basics first. Because it makes you look really, REALLY dumb when you write these hypothetic paragraphs and then the developers come and say that RTGI is only for replays. So, from the developers themselves -> https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxSeriesX/comments/ve32iz/forza_motorsport_to_use_ray_traced_global/

        2. 1. Every game has textures in different LOD it basic game design it has nothing to do with light system used. There is nothing wrong with current baked/dynamic light setup aside from long times of baking before artist see effect and on RT its instant.
2 – 3 its not how it works, doesn’t make much difference for ray based rendering, it will shoot rays from all emitters that influence scene, track or open map same thing, if anything it may be harder on hardware in more closed space as more emitters will be used to achieve wanted visual effect while open world map will mainly use sun or moon as light source and just add some other emitters as flavour.

        3. Heaps of car games have full dynamic time of day and weather with no RT for decades.
The last paragraph doesn’t make any sense, you don’t seem to know how GI, RT or real time rendering in general works.

    1. VR won’t be supported. Turn10 is first party Xbox team. They will never add any options that are not available on Xbox. VR is out of question

    2. LMAO!
Who gives a sh*t about VR!

If you want 3D, nothing beats IRL, and that comes from an 3D vision lover – back then!

      1. Cockpit-based simulator games is one of the few game genres where VR excels. If I was a big vehicle sim guy I would definitely get a VR headset.

From my observations, sim gamers tend to be hardcore about their hobby, willing to drop big bank on it. (Eg the $1000s worth of DLC for Train Simulator.) They likely would’ve sold a noticeable number of more copies if they had VR support.

        1. Ah yeah there I can see it would be pretty damn awesome!

I dreeamed about VR for years and did I loved nVidia 3D Vision. Was onboard from first iteration and then the second. It was awesome and I see still that the Helix Mods for it, are hard at work!

Will love the day Tv’s and monitors will get glasses free 3D, and for sure, when VR are really good – the tech I will jump i to it!

Horror games will be insane – When Tech is Much better ?

    1. Every Forza game is always delisted 4 years after release (car licenses). But you can buy game on last week and play game forever. On last week all those games with every DLC is on 90% sale

  2. game will have dynamic time of day with weather using raytracing global illumination

This game will look great on modern PC with RTX 40xx and RDNA3

  3. The hardware to be able to run this with “raytracing” will cost $2,000+.

And Mario Kart 8 in 720p will still be far more fun to play. A game which sold 48 million copies, the 2nd best selling game in the last decade.

Nintendo gets it, everyone else doesn’t.

    1. The hardware to be able to run this with “raytracing” will cost $2,000+.

      299 usd for 1080p 60 fps
      499 usd for 2160p 60 fps

On PC at 120-144 fps at 4K or above

    2. LOL!
Well said buddy. Totaly agree as I cant stop playing MK8 via Yuzu on my rig. Often every damn evening. Oh and the latest course pack is pretty damn good!

Mario Kart is in a league of it’s own!
Even I love the Dirt games. Besides MK8, I play Dirt 4 even more and that is every damn night. Feels like im beying brainwashed. Time for some racer I say ?

      1. I prefer the Wii U original release of MK8 due to Nintendo having dumbed down the drift mechanic in MK8D on Switch.

        1. Never noticed that, as i have played both. Now loving the Switch version and all those course packs, for it!
And you absolute must play it via emu, as it looks so much better – of coourse!

    3. Lol.

Track-based racing games aren’t that demanding. Forza motorsport 7 ran at 4K/60FPS on the One X, a last-gen console.

  4. Meh.
With mods, AC looks almost as good, but with infinitely better physics.
It has potentially 10 times more cars and tracks too.

    1. Doesn’t AC have terrible tire physics? Don’t kerbs cause wipeouts that even mods can’t fix? Wasn’t this why ACC was made?

      1. Even if that’s the case… You can be absolutely sure Forza isn’t gonna be ANYWHERE NEAR the level of AC lool… The fact Forza is spending its time highlighting how beautiful it is and completely ignoring the RACE part of racing games leaves me with no hope for this game at all!

        1. Megadrive was talking about AC’s physics, which are known to not be good.

No one ever said Forza would ever have realistic physics. It’s not a Sim.

          Try reading next time

  5. This is the game where Forza will go woke. Don’t forget the first reveal trailer with that black afro woman racer (lol those don’t even exist irl)
