    1. Source?

Idk if this is being built on idTech or the customized one they used for Dishonored 2.

Or Cryengine like they did for PREY.

From the looks of it, the game will probably use raytracing, hence the inflated requirements.

    2. Void was build on the trainwreck that was id Tech 5 and it was massively changed since 2011 anyway.

      So “most optimized engines”? Nah

    3. This is using UE4. Arkane Lyon has switched to UE after Dishonored 2. Don’t know about Arkane Austin though. They made Prey using CryEngine.
Tango Gameworks is also using UE4 for Ghostwire Tokyo. They also switched from idTech based STEM engine after Evil Within 2. Most of the devs at Bethesda is switching away from idTech.
Only id and MachineGames will continue using idTech.

    4. Tango Gameworks switched to UE4 for GhostWire Tokyo after tinkering with idTech for Evil Within 2.
The devs behind Prey (Arkane Austin) is also switching to Unreal for their next game Redfall.

  1. Gonna wait for maxed out 4K gameplay before fully judging but those requirements are too high from what we’ve seen. The previous official footage was full of cubemaps and the usual crap you’d see in prev-gen games. Getting the feeling that this is going to be another botched PC port like Dishonored2 when it was broken on all the high end hardware for a long time… Unless they can justify why you need a $700 GPU to play a Dishonored spinoff at 1080p/high/60.

Can’t wait for the benchmarks but knowing Bethesda the embargo won’t lift until after launch. At least that guarantees an negative score on the steam page if things go south.

    1. This game is developed by Microsoft internal studio Arcane. Only reason why this game is not in Game Pass is some bad agreement between Sony and Bethesda.

MS will do everything to close this agreement as soon as possible. Game will be dead in few weeks because MS move all developers to more important project Redfall 2022 which is exclusive for PC and Xbox

      1. This game will be dead in 2-3 weeks after release. MS don’t show this game on E3 or Gamescom. This show that they want to kill it as soon as possible

Deathloop is DOA. Release and forget. No single patch or update after launch

  2. I dont get why they always recommend high end cpus such i9 ryzen 7 for 4k. Games are always GPU bound that resolution for now. Even a ryzen 2700 does the same fps as a 5800x for example, at 4k.

      1. This, Denuvo is the only thing pushing CPUs these days. Better upgrade your CPU so your PC can handle the next layer of DRM.

  3. This game was made by small team inside Arcane when main team work on much bigger game Redfall for 2022. This is not a big game. Bethesda don’t show it on E3, Gamescom or QuakeCon. It will be dead 2-3 weeks after release because all developers will work on Redfall which is much more important game for Bethesda
