Amnesia Rebirth gets its first update, mod support coming in next patch

Frictional Games has released the first update for Amnesia Rebirth. According to the team, this first patch focuses on fixing a number of bugs that its fans have reported. Moreover, it gives players the ability to skip memories.

Frictional Games has also announced that the next patch will bring modding support. Amnesia: The Dark Descent greatly benefited from its modding community, so this doesn’t really surprise us. Alongside the mod support, the second patch for Amnesia: Rebirth will have more Linux and general bug fixes.

As always, Steam will download this first update for Amnesia Rebirth. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

  • You can now skip memories by holding down the left mouse button, or right trigger on a gamepad.
  • Linux graphics glitch fixed.
  • Various blockers fixed.
  • Various bug fixes.

  1. Did anybody enjoy this game? I gave up before the 2hour refund. Found it quite boring. I was never a fan of the previous Amnesia games. I thought they were boring too. But I gave this game a shot because Soma was so damn amazing but could not get into this.

    1. I concur, while i greatly enjoyed SOMA, I couldnt really get into the previous games, although A:DD is great in its own way. I still find SOMA fantastic (although there are ppl that didnt really like it.)
