Square Enix has just revealed a brand new IP at the PS5 unveil show. This new IP is Project Athia. According to the team, Project Athia is the culmination of Luminous Productions’ philosophy to create a completely new and fresh gaming experiences that fuses together the latest technologies with art.
Now while Square Enix did not reveal any additional details, it did state that the game will be officially coming to the PC. The game will be console exclusive on PS5 for a limited time. As such, we are not certain whether the PC version will release alongside the PS5 version, or at a later date.
From the looks of it, Project Athia is a game that is heavily inspired by the Agni’s Philosophy tech demo. Also, and while Luminous Productions is developing, we don’t know whether it uses the Luminous Engine or the Unreal Engine.

for years we had fast storage capable of giving us those possibilities in games, but we were limited by windows(thx microsoft) the software itself(game developers not taking advantage of said existing hw) and other factors.
the only advantage of currently installing games on ssd is slightly faster load times lets say instead of 40 seconds on regular mechanical hdd you get around 20 seconds on a sata ssd(which is BS because a sata ssd is around 5 times faster than a sata hdd)
and sometimes less stuttering.

Horizon looks meh, another huge open world rpg with endless quests , ratchet seem to use alot of impressive physics and particles and bigger maps
spiderman was just a teaser nothing shown, demon souls is a remaster

and for square enix game, square enix have history of making impressive trailers but no game or gameplay to back it up, they better show some gameplay

Horizon zero dawn might be an open world, but unlike the other open world games it was shorter and there was not many side quests and collectables filling the map and side quest were very good, and the world was interesting to explore and the story was great
But the best aspect was the machines, fighting them was exhilarating due to the many way you can engage them
But i can understand your opinion i also suffer open world fatigue but compared to ubisoft open world games, horizon zero dawn had a soul and polish and did not felt like it was stuffed with padding just to keep you busy, and the game never felt like a chore to play.
Im recently playing assassins creed origins and i just cant keep playing after more than an hour and a half at a time due to how bloated and boring it is,but with HZD i found myself burning almost whole nights playing it.
i am looking foward to play it on PC, one of the few games i really wanted to PC. If i could choose one game come to PS4 to PC it would have been Horizon. And seems that wish was granted

Looks like unreal engine to me. you can see the deficiencies. Always looks a little off.. a little unreal i guess. I doubt this is as far as they’ve gotten with luminous engine. And almost all the major engines do a better job on visuals than this
