Ubisoft may soon announce a new Prince of Persia game after registering the “princeofpersia6” domain [UPDATE]

It appears that Ubisoft will soon announce a new Prince of Persia game. Gandi.net, the company that handles all of Ubisoft’s games has registered the “princeofpersia6.com” domain. As such, the French company may soon reveal Prince of Persia 6.

It’s worth noting that the title for the latest Assassin’s Creed game was revealed via the same way. Hours before the game’s official reveal, it came to our attention that Gandi.net has registered Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. So yeah, this appears to be the real deal.

We don’t know when Ubisoft plans to reveal this new Prince of Persia game. It’s worth noting that Microsoft will hold an Xbox event in a few days (May 7th). Not only that, but Ubisoft will be present at it and will showcase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Therefore, an announcement of a new Prince of Persia game during this event sounds plausible.

Now while it’s great that there is a new Prince of Persia game, a lot of us are wondering one thing… does this mean that Ubisoft will also revive Splinter Cell? After all, a lot of gamers have been asking Ubisoft for a new Splinter Cell game. Thus, a next-gen Splinter Cell game may soon happen. Hopefully.

Stay tuned for more!

UPDATE:

There is something fishy going on here. While yesterday Gandi, net was listed as the registrant for the “princeofpersia6.com” domain, the Whois lookup now shows GoDaddy. So yeah, take this with a grain of salt.

  1. A few years ago i would be excited about such news, but not with the current ubisoft in charge.

        1. so true, open world rpg POP game with million side quest and with terrible facial capture and terrible voice acting and dialogue, and worse of all filled with politics and feminist agendas
thank god they don’t own the Prince Of Persia IP, and jordan mechner does, or they would’ve released 20 sequels by now

      1. Im just fresh from replaying the sands of time trilogy and splinter cell trilogy, after playing those 6 games i was saddened because i realized how low ubisoft fell in the last decade, they just dont have the same skill and passion they had…

Worst they are actually driven by greed now.

  2. I really enjoyed ‘The Forgotten Sands’.
If they can stick to something like that I would be alright with it.

    1. Felt too much like it was trying to be God of War instead of being it’s own thing

  3. Just what the world needs. Another copy/paste “open world” Ubisoft pile of s**t, only sporting the paint job of Prince of Persia.

Why not take another colossal dump on this already tainted franchise?

  4. They should look into Sekiro: Shadow die twice, perfect mechanics and enviromental design for a Prince of Persia title.

      1. I did, and that’s why i suggested it.
I doubt they’re going to bring back the Sand of Times or Warrior Within mechanics, so a Sekiro styled gameplay would fit nice to it.
as long as they don’t go openworld crap.

        1. Rather nothing than more Souls uninspired sh*t honestly, 3D Prince of Persia aesthetics and it’s mechanics are why people loved it so much and what made it unique.
I’d be like making Max Payne a cover shooter

  5. Please no, they’ll ruin it completely with awful gameplay and identity politics.

    1. The IP’s very name will be triggering to Ubisoft and their fellow band of poisonous SJWs in the media, at Reeeeeeeesetera and on Twitter!

  6. If this is a sequel to the 2008 game then i will buy this Day 1 even if it is on the Epic Fail Store but i know this game will be crap and live service cancer just like all new UBI games 🙁

  7. sands of time= disney style with “Arabian nights” and fairy tale theme, also ridiculous enemy spawning.

warrior within= DARK EDGY EMO, I STAND ALONE….some people hated it, i loved it, it was more dark and over the top, the textures were low res and camera controls were awful. The time shifting stuff were weird. level design was confusive but felt like the original game in a way.

two thrones= we are god of war now but not as good.

reboot=aside from the ending which they retconed with the dlc it was poop. too damned down awful style

forgotten sands= two thrones without over the top stuff and noobish combat.

  8. so after they ran Assassin’s Creed franchise to the ground, they going to ruin the Prince of Persia next
i hope they don’t turn it to 2D scroller, or RPG with insanely huge open world like every other Ubi game, i don’t have high hopes on current UBISOFT

  9. Lmao, probally coming with generic storyline and Batle Royalle DLC mode…Ubisoft really sucks these days.

  10. Princess of Persia…strong independent bulky muscle/sjw face (choose one) female playable character that become passion for recent Ubisoft employee…the prince will have less important role and saved many times by the princess…oh,and you can romance both male and female npc just like Oddysey

  11. Warrior within is the Best. Yes I have played all the game even the mobile version too since 2006.

  12. The music alone is so good that keeps pulling me back into the game and while doing so I absolutely love playing the game too

    1. A new game would feature some generic ambient or orchestral tracks instead of the great mix between Arabian folk and industrial rock the 3D trilogy of games had.

  13. For me this is a much better franchise than Assassin’s Creed, just an opinion no hate please

    1. Warrior within had more moves, that’s true, but combat wasn’t better, it was much easier and the game was overall more bs, SoT was much more mature, WW was darker and edgier, with retrded boss fights. I’ve replayed all 3 of them like a year ago, before starting i thought WW was better too.

      1. Maybe i worded that wrong, i remember WW being harder too, but the combat is bs, it feels very weird coming from SoT it feels more like a hack n slash game than SoT, and the story was still less serious, the prince seems an edgy kid like the whole game, SoT is more mature and the story is just better, WW doesn’t even properly connect to SoT, and feels like it was made by a completely different team.

  14. I see all comments are from Ubisoft haters, hate me now for saying that, and vote down this comment.

  15. I’d be happier with a new Splinter Cell game. but again, after seeing how they destroyed/changed the GR & AC series in the name & sake of ‘Open World’ RPG, I ain’t interested, rather afraid to see ruined another good old franchise.
