Valve has released a brand new update for Half-Life Alyx. According to the release notes, update 1.2.1 fixes a number of bugs and gameplay issues. Moreover, it improves rendering of Japanese narrow subtitles and packs localization improvements in multiple supported languages.
Going into slightly more details, patch 1.2.1 packs a fix for exhausting GPU memory on Proton. It also has a fix for controller systems that don’t have support for skeletal hand animation. Not only that, but this patch has fixes for issues with carrying contained objects (e.g. objects in a crate).
As always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

I’m writing a academic paper on people’s perception to VR and how their first experience correlates to their overall perception (i.e. renting a VR headset is a overall a more negative experience)

With the 360 stuff included at last, it took this crap port more than a decade to be truly and 100% superior to the 360 version
crap port? The x360 version was developed last dude.
It was released 15 days after the PC version, it should have been ported from 360 and not PS2, so it’s a crap port in that sens
like i said the x360 version was developed last.
But had the same release window nonetheless, so technically it was possible to port it, just delay the PC version by 15 days as well, a lot of partner publishers like EA (partnering with MS in 2005) did better and visually more impressive games on 360 and used old engines for PC versions to promote NG consoles and spread the usual propaganda in any early console gen consisting of “The new console are better then high end PCs”
They did the same for FIFA 14 in the early days of the PS4/Xbone

15 days, i would’ve waited 15 days to get the superior version, we talk about better overall textures and lighting + better reflections and vinyl/decal resolution, i’ll wait longer for half the features, also how it’s all normal that a new 400$ console outperforms a more expansive PC at max settings ?! Yes true, and plenty other games, it’s still a bad move and it pisses me off everytime it happens, until a mod comes and restores everything, anyway thank for the guys who made this compilation, i’m already using at least half of the mods used in it but i’ll give it try for the others, this game is timeless
i just wish it had no excessive rubber banding, it had night time and more customization.
Night time is NFS Carbon lol, always thought MW and Carbon complete each other, rubber banding can be disabled via Extra Options mod (included in Redux) As for the customization, i think it’s just fine, it isn’t as extensive as U2 but MW has more car variety
customization is horrible in most wanted.
It was a downgrade compared to NFSU2 but fine nonetheless, also first time you can customize an exotic car or any type other than import Japanese cars unlike all the other games since NFSU, personally i don’t need spinners or neon stuff, i take a solid car roster over deep customization

Yeah Carbon had Autosculpt but i barely used it, i love Carbon more than MW, but not for that particular reason, it had a far better port, better handling, and loved the canyon races, too bad it wasn’t as popular as MW, like i said earlier, these 2 games complete each other
