Monster Hunter World Iceborne feature

Monster Hunter World PC will be on par with console version on April 23rd, Update 13.01.00 now available

Capcom has announced that a new major update for Monster Hunter World Iceborne will come out on April 23rd. This update will finally bring the PC version on par with the console version. Moreover, Capcom has recently released a new patch for the PC version of Monster Hunter World.

According to the release notes, Update 13.01.00 adds Raging Brachydios and Furious Rajang. Both monsters will appear in new special assignments after finishing the main story of Iceborne and unlocking the tundra region in the Guiding Lands.

Furthermore, this patch adds an item that forces a monster to leave the Guiding Lands. It also raises the maximum level cap for master rank armor upgrades. Not only that, but it adds an augmentation feature that lets you customize the look of your weapon, as well as an option to the Steamworks that lets you change the Steamworks’ output.

It’s also worth noting that this patch features some PC-only fixes. For instance, it fixes an issue with the chat window where you could not switch to display hunter names using the keyboard controls. It also fixes an issue with the keyboard controls where holding down the appropriate key while using the cannons or dragonator would immediately fire the weapon instead of holding fire.

As always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch it. You can also find its complete changelog here. Finally, you can find below a trailer for the game’s next major update!

  1. This is why I still haven’t picked it up.
Hanging onto this old engine is really hurting the game.

  2. Setting the “Volume Rendering Quality” to variable did the trick for me, now the game runs perfect without stuttering at 1080p 60fps on my old i7 4470 / 1080 gtx all other settings maxed out. There are few games with the amount of details and complex/deep mechanics of MHW every fight is a challenge even when you are OP as fukc you can still die easily if not paying attention, and as a big bonus YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY every fukcing month or so like many other games these days (game passes and endless dlcs) despite CAPCOM being greedy as fukc (street fighter/RE3 resistance) you get free content regularly, the base game is huge and the expansion is even bigger. Truly an unique experience I hope you can enjoy it now that the game runs much better.

    1. 1080/60 on a 1080 really isn’t something to brag about…
A game that looks like this should run a near 4k/60 on that setup.
The game is complex, but not in a way that should tax the CPU (it’s basic math, additions and subtractions that run the game, the AI is pretty basic and the world being rendered isn’t that big).

      1. No one is bragging the dude says the game don’t run, but the game actually runs fine and there aren’t many games that can run smoothly 4k/60 fps with that rig. The game is not even close to be a perfect port but that doesn’t mean you cant enjoy it with a decent pc.

        1. Every performance analysis I’ve ever read about this game disagrees with you. It runs horribly on basically anything.
I run 1440p/90 generally, and dropping below 1440/60 just isn’t an option in my mind.
To me, performance has a huge impact on how much I enjoy a game. I did deal with rough visuals, but I needs to at least be sharp and smooth.

          1. I’m sorry for not having as much money as you. I’m telling you in my mid range rig the game runs fine, you don’t like the game? don’t play it but stop saying I’m a liar.

          2. Easy bro. I think you’re reading this all wrong. I’m not calling you a liar. I’m just saying the game runs like a slug. Maybe you’re fine with how it performs. It scrapes by. It’s just far below average in how it preforms.
Again, never said you were a liar. So ease up on that.
