Tekken 7 has sold 5 million copies, Devil May Cry 5 3.1 million units, Resident Evil 2 Remake 5.8 million copies

Katsuhiro Harada and Capcom have revealed new sales figures for Tekken 7, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 7. From the looks of it, all these games have performed well, meaning that we could see some new installments on next-gen platforms.

Going into more details, Tekken 7 has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide on all platforms. On the other hand, Devil May Cry 5 has sold 3.1 million units. Thus, DMC5 is the most successful part of the franchise.

Resident Evil 7 has sold 7 million copies on all platforms. Moreover, Resident Evil 2 Remake has sold 5.8 million units worldwide.

Last but not least, Street Fighter 5 has sold 4.1 million copies on Playstation 4 and PC. Monster Hunter: World has also sold 14.9 million units worldwide, and is the most successful Capcom game so far.

      1. Witcher 3 has better story, graphics, combat, campaign length lasts more than 200 hours with 2 lengthy expansions, great mini games and solving mysteries. resident evil 2 is dog shet bro and Witcher 3 is the GREATESTGAME OF ALL TIME. Until Cyberpunk comes out.

    1. Horizon “Motion Blur” Of Dawn. I couldn’t stand looking at the screen for more than 25 minutes at a time before my eye balls feels like they wanted to depart from me.

      1. I agree about motion blurr but you seriously need to see an eye doctor and get a checkup, the problem you describe is very concerning. Please don’t take it the wrong way, am just genuinely concerned about your eyesight.

        1. Actually the “problem” you are referring to is simply a high level of vision motion acuity, or a heightened ability to make out objects in motion. Those who have eyes/brains that process faster than average see motion blur and low framerates for what it actually is, a big smear, instead of their brains interpreting the judder into motion. Generally brains make up information if it cannot take it in fast enough. A faster brain takes in more information, thus doesn’t “autocorrect” to make it more clear.
          Usually these people (myself including) get eye strain as their eyes are trying to focus on something that actually cannot be focused, as the image was never sharp to begin with.
          Basically, his brain cannot tolerate the crappy motion resolution because it processes too fast and is seeing it for the nasty visual mess it is.
          It’s not a problem with him, in fact he is doing very well. It’s a problem with the image.

          1. Thank you. We have a very high sensitivity to Blur. To a point where I just don’t even bother when a game doesnt have the option to enable it. Its the most crappiest/nonsensical feature in gaming. The purpose it serves is to hide crappy visuals/tearing it’s a lie/mask. Like you said, “nasty visual mess”. Couldn’t have put it any better. Respect ?

  8. I got Devil May Cry 5 And RE 2:Remake with my GPU and I’m so glad i never paid for them. ESPECIALLY DMC 5, very weak game and EXTREMELY BORING (played 20% and I’m done). These games basically play themselves. RE2 has some idiot chasing you around the whole time with mediocre backtracking as if it’s some revolutionary new heights. Clunky controls sorry way to make a game challenging. Very weak, very weak. Of course these games will sell well, cause the bar is so low and there is nothing else to play, so yeah, go figure.

    I guess one way of defeating the competition and hard work is to level the playing field with mediocrity, Not bad. I don’t blame capcom, why try hard when you have no competition, especially when you’re going up against ANTHEM & a bunch of other GAAS Crap. Bring on the thumbs down cause we know mediocrity is where most of y’all live. Very pretty games and ZERO gameplay. Ooooh those pixel.

    2. It’s just a matter of taste.
      RE2 is a game that those who grew up playing would, off course, enjoy a remake. Same as for the next in line.
      I kind of agree you with you about DmC5, though. But for me, the only bad thing about the game is the level design. The rest is pretty much the same as always on that franchise. And again, it’s about what do you like and what you did like in the past.

      1. In all honesty, I’m trying to figure out what were they thinking with DMC 5. I just don’t get it. Every 5 minutes the game takes you out of the experience to show you some cool Schitt that you should be doing yourself. The V character had the most unique mechanics I’ve seen in game since ever and it got squandered in that mess of a game. Nero’s Gauntlet, I’m just gonna leave it at that, what a mess. You get no sense of attachment with that game it just Jumps all over the place like “Random-Rando”.

      I dont agree with you that these 2 games were boring but i will upvote for you for making a good point here. Most good games last year were from japan because the west sucked and as far as the west goes, nfs heat was the best nfs in over a decade, simply because we havent had a good nfs game for over a decade, or any competition. Outer worlds is no masterpiece its a mediocre game that was better than flopout shttysix and fallout 4 and ofcourse anthem and mass effect andromeda. With competition like that and the abomination GAAS that was breaking point, no wonder people think those games were great, lower your standards and everything.

      So yeah games nowadays suck. I mean look at the last star wars game…compare that to jedi knight 2 or jedi academy. Gaming is dying because its filled with talentless hack devs and corporate bs.

      1. Yeah I know you like the games and that’s cool. Nothing wrong with that homie. But you hit the nail on the head when you said Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, that game is pure trash. There is no GAMING anymore. It’s just pretty, If you’re looking for eye candy they’ve got that man. Remember when you started up a game and it just had GAMEPLAY, unique mechanics and it just felt right. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order felt like trying to put a Phlacid peen in a dry Vagene. Like why would anyone wanna do that, it just doesn’t work.

        The worse part is it doesn’t take much for people to praise these games like they are the best they’ve ever seen. Look at games like 007: Everything Or Nothing, The first 2 Transformers Game by high Moon studios, The Matrix Path Of Neo, Spiderman: Web Of Shadows, Mass Effect 2, Prototype & Vanquish. Passion, replay value & desire. The last time I felt that was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Are you telling me that, we will never get a game that can top The Witcher 3? If this is so, then my friend, “This Fuqing Industry”.

          Not really ugly environments and ugly characters despite the technology. I remember when the gen started ea and dice showed amazing lighting and characters in their tech demos, but aside from dice and nfs 2015, it was downhill from there. This gen was a joke. look at dragon age inqusition, thats suppose to be frostbite? Look at mass effect andromeda or even faller order. Cant say things look better on bethesda with fallout 4 and 76 or the outer soyworlds.
