Borderlands 3 suffers from stuttering issues and here is how you can minimize/fix them

Two days ago, we informed you about the long loading times in DX12 and the ultrawide issues in Borderlands 3. However, it appears that this new first-person shooter also suffers from major stuttering issues. Therefore, you can find below some ways via which you can minimize them (or even fix them).

The first thing you need to do is close the Epic Games Store launcher after going in-game. A great number of gamers has reported that this has resolved their stuttering issues with Borderlands 3. Furthermore, online functionalities are working properly so we suggest doing so if you have any stutters.

Some other users claimed that they were able to reduce the stutters they were experiencing by setting Texture Streaming on Low or Medium. On the other hand, some other users stated that they were able to reduce the stuttering issues by using a previous version of the GeForce drivers. For what it’s worth, we were able to play the game smoothly with the latest 436.30 drivers. While there were some minor frame pacing issues, our G-Sync monitor was able to smooth out the experience. Still, we experienced less frame pacing spikes when we closed the Epic Games Store launcher.

After taking ages to install, we were able to run the game and we did not experience any stuttering issues on our Intel i9 9900K with our NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti. As said, we did close Epic Games Store when we went in-game. So yeah, it appears that this solution can work on certain systems. It’s also worth mentioning that we’ve installed the game on an SSD and we’re using 16GB of RAM at 3600Mhz.

Our PC Performance Analysis for Borderlands 3 will go live later this weekend. Until then, and if you are having any stuttering issues, we suggest using one of the aforementioned workarounds!

    1. Yeah, not due to EGS, PC Hardware is miles above even the One X ofc, however how is it, these devs can’t rely that, we should be 200 FPS at way higher settings in 4K at this point in the game .

All the greed, all the way around . SAD !!

    1. I see you’ve finally met Robo-Fernando. He’s one of the most advanced AI’s that dwell in these comment section. We believe he was created by Timothy Sweeney to act independent of the unreal Engine. We believe this is the first AI, to survive outside of the Unreal Engine. A truly remarkable piece of work.

      1. Ohhh man did you remember “Amiga4000 aka Sp4ctr0 aka 6 > 4 TFLOPS” Damn this guy was something from another world.

        1. Apparently they still come around under different names too, Bub&Bob is very good at blowing their cover and calling them out. He’s like the perfect counter for those fools. I just sit back and watch him, durka durka and I’m rick, rick rollin goes ham on them. ???

  1. Great game. Stayed up all night thursday night when the game unlocked and played straight through to yesterday afternoon. Best Borderlands game yet.

    1. “Best Borderlands game yet.”

compared to what? Borderlands 2 from so many years ago or other games like it like division and destiny?

  2. DX12 still causes stuttering in BFV for me. HAd no issues with DX11 in BL3, but I have no doubt that’ll keep the anti-Epic people from spreading false info to further their cause, calling it a complete failure, which it’s totally not.

  3. If you enjoyed BL1 or BL2 you will absolutely love this and must buy. If you were unsure of those games or didn’t enjoy them it won’t convert you.

      1. Robo-Fernando is one of the most advanced AI’s that have ever existed. If i was a betting man, I’d bet he was created by Timothy Sweeney to act independent of the unreal Engine. Robo-Fernando is the first AI to survive outside of the Unreal Engine. A truly remarkable piece of work, I tell ya.

    1. No really . I don’t know how many more times I can say this before people get it, RTX 2080 TI and a 8700k, some dude got it, 41FPS Ultra 4K, andn I hear all these issues when…

My One X verrsion, idk if it runs in 4K, I know I can run a high FOV and in Res mode the game is very smooth .

Paper To Paper, The One X has the better VALUE for MONEY . LOL!

        1. Not an, whatever that is, I’m an Owl, not whatever you said . So you can get… deleted and negated . and Blocked . Next time, you want to be mature and answer in-depth, to the topic, like, follow and obey .

      1. It does look great. But i’m still a mess when it comes to racing games. Even in games like GTA, i have the bad habit of hitting everything and everyone in my way.

        1. You got a rig ? That would be the #1 help, the game is that way, I guess turn bc the turn, you sort of have to setup the car for the corner, before the corner .

Now while I like DR myself, and Rally Racing in gen, I was talking about Borderlands 3 . hehe .

        2. Look up, and see how they setup the car on the track, like for example; if you want ofc,

Rally Driver tries out Dirt Rally 2.0 – C4 WRC, type that on Youtube ,.

        1. Robo-Fernando is basically BFG’s new hobby. I’ve read all your replies to this fool and I’ve never seen anyone so disgusts by anyone before. It’s an amazing thing to watch. That’s why I unblocked Robo-Fernando, so I can see what kinda rhetoric this AI is peddling and it seems to have gotten worse. So I don’t blame you dude.

          1. I would not call it a hobby….
            I am just curious….
I wonder what will he reply…
Hes either a stupid program or a disabled windowlicker or both…..

    1. arent you that r**ard who said :
Amazing game what I have played so far, performance is well over 100fps on my 1080 Ti and 9900k.

  4. Borderlands 3 suffers from stuttering issues and here is how you can minimize/fix them

-Don’t indulge in the first place! 100% of the time, it works Everytime ?

    1. Too funny! Alternatively,

      – allow Randy six months to properly patch this beta release on the beta store in time for the real deal launch on Steam. Then sail the high seas regardless because no Steam day one, no buy.

      1. This right here. Some people don’t seem to get it that if you buy it regardless when it comes to Steam you are basically saying that it’s okay for Devs to keep doing this, because in the end they will recieve the better of the 2, the exclusivity money of Epic and the coustumer base of Steam.

        1. Exactly. Buying the Steam (or GOG, etc) version following the EGS exclusivity period is to actively encourage devs/pubs to continue signing on with EGS for future games. Those who buy such games on Steam, GOG or wherever else are directly contributing to the problem albeit obviously not to the same extent as having bought the game on EGS.

It’s essentially letting the dev/pub have its cake and eat it. It’s also willingly letting oneself be cucked by EGS, Tencent and the game’s dev/pub.

No Steam day one, no buy.

          1. Sadly man, we are dealing with humans here. Just look at how many people will defend draconian tech such as devuno, all because of F.O.M.O and then they wanna turn you all zombie-like, like them.

          2. “F.O.M.O” affects me too because torrenting all those free Epic Games Store ‘exclusives’ hogs my internet bandwidth!

  5. Wow, too many losers on this site . Yikes . Inb4 you say I’m jealous , In case you do, you would be keen to find out, I’m not .

You know my One X has no issues, how many threads has John made crying about the PC Version of BL3? Oh 41 FPS in BL3 on Ultra Settings, 4K, Woah, that VALUE FOR MONEY . 😐

      1. Who ever it applies I guess . Like okay, Borderlands 3 is another title, the game runs the best on One X, I also have a nice PC, You treat it only like a stronger console, It’s clear, that devs, as you should/I believe you know, teh PC Version, once again, SUCKS, and why spend the extra money?

BL3 looks very nice on my LG 27UL600 and it is 3200×1800 .

  6. “Borderlands 3 suffers from stuttering issues”
Meanwhile they have 9900k & 3600MHZ ram paired with 2080Ti
Imagine how many stutters this will have on our GTX 1070 or 2060 builds…
