In an interview with NVIDIA, Techland’s Chief Technology Officer, Pawel Rohleder, revealed that Dying Light 2 will be four times bigger than its predecessor. According to Pawel, the game’s enormous world is possible thanks to the new tech that will power Dying Light 2.
The game will also feature new animation system, as well as real-time ray tracing effects. Moreover, the game will pack a new streaming technology, as well as a new UI. Not only that, but Dying Light 2 will also have a new quest system that will support choices and consequences.
Unfortunately, Pawel did not reveal any specific details about the ray tracing effects that the game will be using. Contrary to other developers, both NVIDIA and Techland have not revealed any RTX details yet about Dying Light 2. There is currently only one comparison screenshot and from that, we can assume that RTX will enhance the game’s lighting, ambient occlusion or global illumination.
Dying Light 2 will be using the C-Engine, a new generation of Techland’s in-house technology. As the devs noted, this engine will be ideal for open-world action-adventure and action-RPG games. The game also aims to bring to life a unique post-apocalyptic vision of the Modern Dark Ages.
Dying Light 2 targets a Spring 2020 release.
Enjoy!

never played the first one, so was the map big?
3 seperate maps, first 2 are big enough for 1 game each. The 3rd map is huge however it has more empty space. Good thing they added vehicles to that map.
Shame it was a really good game you should give it a try, still impressive now.
i dont like zombie games.
Man, this game is really different. The story is a little cliche, but the gameplay is absolute awesome. The weapons, the way you can tear limb to limb the zombies. The map is pretty big. The maps, actually. Slums and Sector 0. Then you go to the countryside which is an entirely new map.
yessssss
at this point, i’m convinced the only thing you like is a big white dildo up your brown a*s.
how dare you good sir my a*s is yellow i am a ching chong.
indian does not count as yellow and i as a white man (aka your idol) can say whatever i want.
Same here, I hate zombie games. But… I’m thinking of getting this over cyberpunk 2077. This game seems to be less about the zombies and more about the humans/other aspects.
yes yes this is what i got from the trailer. Anyway doom eternal and sniper ghost warrior contracts both come out in my birthday.
Quality over quantity, i’m so tired of these ridiculous empty open world games. However, if it’s anything like the first game it should still be great.
The second game is shaping up to be quite a bit more complex than the first one.
Damn these games coming out in the spring. Got a whole lot of winter coming up and that is when I do my gaming.
Loved the first one. Can only hope for the second one to be great
So mutch room to fill up with grind…
I love when I can teleport anywhere in the map using trainer…
Haha, you always deliver brother ?
Just wait for the hate nation.
yes!! now please be good please!! https://media2.giphy.com/media/5xrkJe3IJKSze/giphy.gif
What Dying light really needs is less linear quests, similar to Deus Ex and the like
Bigger =/= Better people always fall for this bullsgit marketing scheme, a big open world is usually an empty open world.
A mid/small sized Open World with tons of varied content, attention to detail and density is a much better approach to these types of games.
I’m excited for this game…
Well, according to my math, since it’s the second title, and the map is 4x bigger, than you’ll get a game 8 times more boring than its predecessor!
I just can’t get over how weapons deteriorate in this game. You think Gordon Freeman has to worry about his crowbar coming apart after smashing a certain number of crates, or faces? Hell no.
That’s Nice, i hope its full of good stuff
