Dying Light 2-new-1

Here are 26 minutes of gameplay footage from the E3 2019/Gamescom 2019 demo of Dying Light 2

Techland has finally revealed its dramatic, previously unreleased 26-minute Dying Light 2 gameplay video from the game’s E3 2019/Gamescom 2019 demo. This video features a main mission so we suggest avoiding it if you mind spoilers.

As we’ve already reported, this demo was shown behind closed doors at both E3 and Gamescom 2019. The video further showcases how player’s choices have far reaching consequences on both the narrative and the world around them.

According to the developers, Dying Light 2 will bring back the series exceptional ability and brutal combat gameplay. The game will feature an open-world environment, as well as a day/night cycle.

During Gamescom 2019, NVIDIA announced that the game will support real-time ray tracing effects. While Techland did not reveal any additional details, we can assume that the team will use RTX for the game’s lighting, global illumination and ambient occlusion. Do note that this is merely a guess based on the first comparison screenshot that NVIDIA issued last week.

Dying Light 2 will be using the C-Engine, a new generation of Techland’s in-house technology. As the devs noted, this engine will be ideal for open-world action-adventure and action-RPG games. The game also aims to bring to life a unique post-apocalyptic vision of the Modern Dark Ages.

Enjoy!
