  1. Red Dead 2 Epic exclusive coming up ?

On the one hand, it’d be nice to see the drama. On the other hand, the backlash for that would be huge.

    1. Why would Rockstar cut out the Social Club where they don’t have to give anyone a cut of sales or shark cards? Surely they’d just do an Ubi.

  2. The PC Gaming show was always a pathetic joke that didn’t represent PC gaming at all in the first place so knowing that Epic is sponsoring it this year is appropriate.

    1. It was okay, but it wasn’t that bad. The reason people never like it is because PC doesn’t have many big budget AAA games to show off like consoles. Ofcourse, hardly any exclusive AAA games to show off.

      1. Um, no.

PC has way more big budget AAA games to show off. A lot of them console crap. What PC doesn’t have is casual garbage “AAA” games to show off like God of War or Spiderman or Last of Us, because the industry is still stuck on the myth that PC isn’t profitable when it’s been proven year after year for a decade that PC is more profitable than all consoles combined.

        1. “PC is more profitable than all consoles combined.” Sure, and the big winners are free to play titles. Try to interpret stats next time, game devs ain’t dumb, like you used to claim.

          1. They are most definitely stupid because it isn’t “developers” making these decisions, it’s publishers. There are mountains of evidence proving publishers are incredibly stupid.

          2. Moving the goalposts much? Publishers are not going to make a buck selling Sony style games to PC, at least not as much as free to play.

        2. lmao.

The most critically acclaimed games out there are ‘casual garbage’

Sorry guys, I guess I’m a pleb just not up to your standards.

          1. No problem. You keep doing you, while people enjoy the critically accalimed games on Sony’s console.

Sorry, did I say critical acclaimed ? Where are my manners. HURR Console GARbyage ! hurr durr. because hurrrrr.

See ? I’m getting the hang of it. Maybe I’ll be one of you one day.

  3. “we’re excited to showcase what’s next for the world’s most vibrant gaming platform.”
Wow. 9 years ago Epic said PC gaming drove them to console-only game development and many devs followed them. Now, they’re throwing sacks of money around to seduce PC devs away from Steam, the only platform that stayed behind and helped PC gaming become the “most vibrant gaming platform.”

It’s like seeing some jerk dumped his unattractive girlfriend but now that she’s sexy and desirable he’s pushing everyone around to get back with her.

      1. Who cares about r-tarded drama behind the scenes, just give me the games. Steam crybabie can’t do that? Too bad.

        1. Nobody is crying except you. We are stating facts, you are just a brat kid with a computer.

          1. What fact, that Epic migrated to consoles when there was money to be made and now are back on PC making even more money? They sound like smart players, nothing personnal of course.

    1. The whole Steam messianic saviour complex are in need of a crucifixion so they can reborn again. Steam is not a charity either, both companies are profit driven.

      1. Despite this, Steam stays on the platform when no one else see PC as profitable plataform. You cant deny this, so instead you come with this brat attitude.

        1. Where there is crisis, there is opportunity. Steam played it smart and that’s it, treating them as saviours that can do no wrong or calling devs that go to Epic traitors is just unproductive and partisan at best.

      1. Also,

        Progressive Cancer
        Pervasive Censorship
        Parasitic Communists
        Pathetic Clickbait
        Perpetual Cringe

  4. Gaming nowadays is so sad….so sad. If this e3 doesnt show good singleplayer games i am done with AAA

    1. Gaming nowadays is really sad if you only focus on hate-reading click-bait tier garbage instead of playing thousands of good games out there.

  5. As usual every developer in that list owes their very existence to Valve. Paradox wouldn’t be able to sell 17 thousand CK2 DLCs and keep milking that game for a decade without Steam. The entire 4X and most of the strategy genre would be dead, too. Tripwire never would have made it past RO mod if not for Steam considering literally they only sold the standalone of RO1 on Steam, not to mention one of the lead designers and the actual vision behind their staff moved on to work on Insurgency. The same generally applies to Rebellion who wouldn’t have been able to shove out crap like Battlezone Redux or literally sell the same “Kill **tler” DLC for every SE game since V2, or double dip people for NZA. Their games are focused primarily for PC – not console, don’t know why they are even on console.

If these companies are ALSO selling their games on EGS, that’s fine. No further comment needed if so. But that’s not going to be the case.

And no I didn’t say it was solid logic that they shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds but what they’re doing is cutting the hand off while it’s holding their head above water, so they can swim over to another hand they know nothing about.

  6. Good, good. The more exclusives they have the faster they drain the money and sooner will this whole “exclusives” catastrophy clusterf*k die.

  7. THere are some Ubisoft games (anno, Division 2), World War Z, former PS3 and PS4 exclusives and other less know titles but if they are good i don’t know, i only played Metro and it’s gud.

  8. How could a platform with tens of cherry-picked titles and zero user interaction beyond buying stuff be more “vibrant” than Steam’s ten of thousands of titles free-for-all with massive, industry shaping user interaction (warts and all)?

EGS is even less vibrant than the Uplay store.

    1. Why cherry pick a company pimping themselves to the public? Vibrant is such a vague term aniways, it can mean anything to the things you talk about, to SJW tier garbage.

  9. Had EGS ever gotten a single game I actually cared about as exclusive, I may have some interest in this. However, I don’t foresee anything I care about, going to their garbage dump of a store.

    Carry on, EGS.

  10. Epic is not only bribing greeding devs, it is also buying the media, Evan Lahti works or worked for PC gamer, one of the most fierce EGS advocates.
Technically Epic has become the Koch brothers of the gaming industry, buying, bribing, paying for articles and abusing their employees. If you are going to support this, dont whine later when the gaming industry has become a cancer.

    1. I don’t care much about these “human rights issues” or allegations of corruption. Now a game store being exclusive for Windows 10 OS like Microsoft’s gets me angry because it affects me personally(and lots of steam apologists just say “deal with it, upgrade your OS”, not so funny anymore eh).

    2. Also buying up marketing and making big bucks marketing deals with movie publishers as well.

Epic literally are trying to become the Disney of video games, but far more ruthless and uncaring.

I hope they turn to ash someday.

  11. First PC e3 I’ll gladly be skipping.

Hope PCgamer burns in hell someday, because they sure lost their integrity a long time ago.

  12. Likewise. Can’t wait to get my Steam/notepad blacklist ready.

Next year’s dev support list is going to be so much easier to roll with.

  13. EGS quietly launched in China, which I’m sure required some favors like Google had to pull with their launches over there. So there’s that.

  14. please 3x…. forza horizon series, HALO series and gears of wars series coming to epic store…. T_T

  15. Maybe…. Just maybe, if Borderlands 3 is successful. Which I think sales will suffer regardless of what Pitchford and Sweeney say. I know people are saying this is just a few people acting out, but I mean look at it, there is legit heat here. But maybe Valve will wake up, and make games again. I don’t care what anyone says, Portal 3, Left 4 Dead 3, Half-Life 3, and Team Fortress 3 are bigger then any PC exclusive Epic could go grab.
