Deep Silver and Nine Dots Studio have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming title, Outward, focusing on the game’s combat mechanics. Outward is an open-world fantasy adventure game featuring deep simulation and immersion.
In Outward, players will experience an entirely new kind of RPG, where they play the role of a true inhabitant of a sprawling world, requiring biological maintenance and self-preservation against a harsh, uncaring environment. These simulation aspects also extend to the game’s representation of magic as an intricate web of rituals required to evoke supernatural powers.
The game also packs a surprising feature: two-player local and online multiplayer, with split-screen (including online split-screen). This feature allows two friends to share a journey knowing they have at least one ally at their side and offers unique opportunities for streaming and strategy.
Outward is currently scheduled for a March 26th release.
Enjoy!

lock to the target, roll, roll, roll and attack. wow, what a great combat system. whoever came up with this combat system must be really smart.
Dark S…………….
I do not like rolling, looks stupid, especially while wearing heavy armor. I prefer a sidestep or a pirouette for evading.
Odd, it is still listed on Steam. Did Deep Silver learn from their Epic fail with Metro Exodus?
all eurojanks have some sort of interesting new mechanics. this reeks of redundancy, repetitiveness and low iq combat mechanic.
@ least they made and are ready to ship a game.
this game has some good concept but i hope they put some focus into the frames and up the textures a bit more add a few foliage here and there spruce it up a bit
So the rope that somehow erupts in 20 or so metal spikes out of nowhere doesn’t impale the creatures?
Got it.
Lol, yeah I was expecting that mechanic to actually be useful but instead, the enemy just waltzes past it.
This game remember me the old Gothic game but in 2019 and with large, large map. Subtitle in Italian, so…. dayone! 😀
I hope the game will have a great mouse+keyboard support.
Game looks nice, but since it’s published by Deep Silver, and their association epic, it runs the risk of going to the ‘epic store’ as another f*king exclusive.
