IGN has shared a new video, showing ten minutes of new gameplay footage from Atomic Heart. Atomic Heart is a first-person adventure shooter in which players assume the role of special agent P-3, who after an unsuccessful landing on enterprise “3826” is trying to figure out what went wrong and to clear up a factory from went mad robots.
From what we know so far, P-3 will receive a lot of weapon in his armory, there will be several quests, and he will learn to destroy one robot after another silently in order to clear his way to the event hall, where he will meet a main enemy – a huge robot with tentacles.
The game will also support real-time ray tracing effects. Mundfish will use real-time ray tracing for reflections, shadows and Global Illumination.
Mundfish aims to launch a closed beta in Q4 2019 and we can safely assume that this will be a 2020 game.
Enjoy!

When I originally commented on one of the screenshot articles for this game that it was “Weird for weirdness sake”, I’m extremely happy to see that I was, in fact, quite accurate as to what this game exactly is.
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, because I enjoy outwardly strange far too much, but the one thing that undercuts this game’s weirdness is that the gameplay doesn’t look that great. It just looks clunky.
The melee combat looks clunky, the QTE’s look clunky, and the shooting mechanics also look clunky.
Hopefully the developers can refine the game more and it gets released in a far less clunky state, because it could be the RussiaShock we’ve all been waiting for.
I agree with you about the gramplay part…the mechanics are in fact very clunky and rough, and the motion blur is making me sick!
But speaking of weirdness, I like it! It reminds me of Bioshock 1 in many ways, just less colorful.
?????
Wtf you talking about? This is a utopian view of the soviet union turning dystopian. Everything run by machines in the sense of “true communism” TM that Marx wanted, humans are free pursuing more interesting their own interests instead of doing boring repetitive menial tasks, infinite food through cloning and preservation , thats what all this animals in water is, instead of cryogen they use some form of time altering substance that freezes everything that is in it in time, the flying machines are weather altering stations. Its not weird for the sake of being weird.
Also the clunky gameplay is so similar to so many old games from eastern europe and it fits well with survival horror aspect of the game, i am not saying dont improve it, but obviously the footage they shown was made with the player sucking on purpose, its not like your insert AAA game here that the player is doing everything perfect without mistakes and essentially show you how to master the game and be a god in the trailer. I am so sick and tired of all those E3 presentations that the main character is shown as a god that has see through walls vision and headshots everyone.
“True communism” that Marx wanted” is apparently when all tasks are being carried out by machines according to you. I don’t know who told you that this gobbledygook was Marxism but you should maybe read up more on marxism.
You honestly must be autistic if you took that comment as seriously as you did. Holy sh*t.
Its system shock 2 in soviet Russia with diesel punk design. I love it, limited ammo, difficult gameplay, environment hazards, nonlinear environments and photorealistic graphics. I love it.
Man i feel like i am back at the early x360/ps3 gen and i see amazing graphics, large maps and scripted events for the first time, like when bioshock was revealed but unlike that game they didnt dumb it down.
Thank you Russian devs thank you, also it looks so similar to you are empty, the style the atmosphere, but better much much better.
I 100% agree with everything you said Man, that was freaking incredible!
Holy sh|t, that looks freaking incredible and that was the PS4 version! Seriously who needs Half Life 3 or BioShock 4 when you have Atomic Heart.
Massively proud to have backed them directly on their web site before they go big. It almost seem too good to be true.
i am seriously debating preordering. Nah, next gameplay footage ill preorder
Cool, do it Man you won’t regret it.
I love the bizarre looking of it all, the graphics, the atmosphere, the feeling, everything.
Finally something new to see and play, reminds me of that feel when the first Bioshock came out.
prey?
I think Prey is not even close to call it Bizarre since its world is not “weird” enough because of its Sci Fi nature, if you mean about those creatures (mimics) and what you can do in it, is not something we never seen before as well. (the mimic thing you can do in games like Dark Souls or Prop Hunt for example)
Prey is a great game don’t get me wrong but not Bizarre.
Scorn is another game that can be put in that little list of Bizarre (“weird” if you want another word to describe them) looking games.
Some little puzzle games as Iris Fall, Machinarium, or games like Alice Madness Returns also can be called Bizarre. (or We Happy Few and of course the Bioshock series)
maybe he meant the real ‘Prey’ where you’re a native american on a spaceship fighting aliens, walking on walls and ceilings, dying, then fighting spirits to come back from the dead…haha that’s bizarre
Oh well, the original is something special of course, it had some memorable moments and mind-blowing stuff that you’ll never forget but the world itself never gave me that feeling.
Something (to me) is “bizarre enough” when it makes you feel uncomfortable all the time, the world around you and how crazy things get even from the visual aspect alone. Having things that make you be in a state of constant alert all the time because you know it isn’t “normal” at all is what makes it.
In the original Prey the situations are a little bit bizarre yes but the places you are in are things perhaps seen in “common” Sci-Fi-horror movies and the like. You know where that inspiration came from and you don’t feel that uncomfortable with the world but the way you play the game makes it a little bit of course.
It all depends, I like to play weird looking games, horror games and such that always have some sort of bizarre situations, or weird things happening “to you” or the main character that you are in control of.
If Prey was bizarre to you or gave you that impression it sure qualifies. 😉
The visuals in this game are really something else
Nier automata meets wolfenstein
Thats a bit off the mark lol its more like Bioshock/Metro/system shock. Automata was a flashy action game and wolfenstein is a fast paced non stop FPS. This is neither of those things. Its obviously very atmospheric and not meant to be rushed through but slowly and carefully explored.
Do me a favor, type “you are empty” in youtube and watch the gameplay.
Ok i just noticed this. Damn.
Preordered the deluxe version.
Cant wait for this game.
