  1. Excited about this and playing it Coop. but those Particle effects for the lasers dont look right, they seem off or just bland.

  2. 2002, Mechwarrior 4 Mercs looked just as good (and a little more polished/clean) than this and you could play 8v8 multiplayer.

I guess they didn’t imagine growing a community based on that would work…

I hope this site does a full review of the single player campaign when this is released, as it would have to be an incredible experience for people to even give this a second look, IMO.

    1. Man idk, Looking at side-by-side graphics I’d have to say I definitely disagree. Now don’t get me wrong, MW4 Mercs is by far one of my favorite games of all time, but I want what computer screen you’re looking through. Also, I can’t think of any mech warrior game giving you campaign-level persistent co-op. Just calling it multiplayer is a bit of a simplification.

      1. Well, taking into account that 17 yrs ago we were playing in 1024 x 768 res. (and lower in some cases), I’m obviously not talking about screenshot comparisons. Side by side of course it doesn’t contain the detail. I’m talking about how the sim looks in terms of giving the player the right environment.

If you played MW4 and MW4 Mercs online against others, you know exactly what I mean.

In an online match against other players, who don’t care about the look of the game and are only trying to gain advantage over you, this “feel” is important. The look of the UI, how easy it is to get info quickly, the view from the cockpit as you turn, the way movement effects your view through the glass as you control speed, jumpjets, etc. Not to mention the effects of the weapons and how they convey effectiveness and damage.

I’m not sure what you’re saying re: campaign-level persistent co-op. Please explain.
