Blizzard Entertainment today unveiled Warcraft III: Reforged, a stunning reimagining of the revolutionary real-time strategy game that laid the foundation for Azeroth’s most epic stories. In order to celebrate this announcement, Blizzard has also released two new trailers that you can find below.
A remake in the truest sense, Warcraft III: Reforged sees the original Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its award-winning expansion, The Frozen Throne, rebuilt from the ground up, with a thorough visual overhaul, a suite of contemporary social and matchmaking features via Blizzard Battle.net, and a pledge of support for its thriving community of creators—starting with an upgraded World Editor.
For Warcraft III: Reforged, every character, structure, and environment has been recreated to emphasize the depth, dimension, and personality of this rough-hewn world. The Warcraft III saga, which spans more than 60 campaign missions, enjoys an epic retelling in Reforged, with over four hours of updated in-game cutscenes and rerecorded voice-overs that breathe new life into the earliest renditions of key characters like Sylvanas Windrunner and Arthas Menethil.
J. Allen Brack, President of Blizzard Entertainment, said:
“Warcraft III is monumentally important to us here at Blizzard, and its influence is evident in everything we’ve done since. A project like Warcraft III: Reforged isn’t something we undertake lightly, partly because of this legacy, but more importantly, because we know what it means to our players.”
Warcraft III’s dedicated community of mapmakers has kept the game thriving since it launched in 2002, and Reforged boasts an improved World Editor highly influenced by an ongoing dialogue with this talented group of creators. With countless new tools and features, the World Editor will set mapmakers free to craft new universes for players to enjoy. Existing custom maps will be playable in Reforged, and players will be able to use the new matchmaker to find partners or opponents for traditional melee and custom games.
Warcraft III: Reforged will be released in 2019!

blizzard is an overrated pile of dog shet, all of their games are boring and trash except for diablo 2.
Warcraft 3 and Starcraft Brood War were excellent games too, i agree for the rest 😀
Starcraft 2 was great too… i dont know how people can even hate it, even more when its free now. You can mod it and endlessly change what you do and have. Multiplayer games are nevet the same. Add on top of that the custom maps and Co-op.. and everything else. It is literally 10/10 game for me, just like WC3 and Diablo 2 are.
Yeah, wow sucks.. heroes.. meh.. diablo 3.. no comment.. hearthstone.. was alright in vanilla and then it became meh. The RTS team is doing some good work at Blizzard.
It wasn’t. i remember S2 was crap because each mission had it’s own download bar and it didn’t worked offline (after downloading the game, go online download another 200mb so the map opens do this for all missions), worst than that, it was release with only one race. it became a good rts when they released all of it’s stuff (when i lost interest) but by it’s own it was awful.
the game didn’t download anything for each mission i played it in 2010 just loading screen like any other game, and the game released with all the races (zerg,Terran,Protoss) so i don’t know what you are talking about.
All the races were there in 2010, but only the marine campaign was available, the Zerg campaign was released in 2012, and the Protoss one in 2015, and they were sold separately like DLC’s, the first one had all the campaigns in one package, and almost every RTS does
Oh we got an smart a** over here. It did download stuff while loading story missions and only Terran campaign was in the game which made it worst than SC1 without broodwar. you know, backward companies always have dumb fans who forgot things.
i thought you talked about the races not being available at launch so i tried to correct that no need to get personal and try to insult me for it.
Well i agree about those things too you are right, i mean most people are and do lol.
Now tho, the game is all out, cheap and even the online is free. Now the game is great, back then? Yea, i didn’t even touch it until 2017. Been playing it for almost 2 years now and its sweet. When it came out, it was bare bones and it lacked a ton of custom maps and stuff.
The mission thing is ok, i prefer 30 missions per race, instead 30-40 for the entire game and all races. The more missions the better basically. I wish Warcraft 3 had 30 missions for each race, that would have been amazing 😛
P.s. Its totally like Diablo 3. Sucked at lunch HUGE TIME, good now. Not great like SC2, but ok if u want some quick fun, nothing amazing sadly.
P.s2. Also if people like RTS games, there aren’t that many modern ones that are so fun and i have tried all of them. Its a type of game thats pretty much gone and dead… 1 game per year or years is not enough for an entire genre. Imagine if 1 FPS came out per year lol XD SC2 is free, so why wont people try it ? Cuz its old? Cuz people got bored of waiting?
Now yes, sure, it’s a good RTS but still i can taste the salt in my mouth, not a fan of To Be Continued story modes in RTS games specially when they are failing to get the basics rights first.
For D3, releasing only once Class for that price tag is a crime, still not making it available offline on PC while you can play it offline on any other devices is an insult to all PC gamers. game itself is garbage TBH.
Yeah, a class that had to be in the expansion, cuz it fits the theme… also the old diablo 2 expansion added 2 extra classes too. I do hate the Blizzard business models for the most part lol, i cant deny it XD
Starcraft 2 can be played offline and i do that on my laptop when i go out, but yea.. Diablo 3.. biggest fail ever on so many levels, i barely enjoyed it and that’s after all the patches. At lunch i didn’t even wanna play it. It bored me in 1 week. Still waiting for the PVP too.. it was on the BOX of the game.. they LIED lol 😛
the campaigns were sold separately, no lan, no offline skirmish unless you use a mod for such a basic feature, and a lot of unbalanced sh*t, ask a SC fan, 90% of them will tell you Brood War was the best when it comes to competition and balancing, the campaigns of SC2 were great tho, i agree for that, but we waited 5 years to have them all, in 5 years, it has to be that great…
I mean, i prefer the missions to be sold that way. I prefer 90 missions over 30 missions that involve 3 races.. its not enough to tell a story i feel like. Starcraft 2 felt perfectly. The expansions felt like expansions, but i guess they also could have added a bit more. My fav games have expansions that add a few units here and there and 10-15 missions tops. Check Red Alert 2, Generals.. and a few others.
Speaking about human vs human, i got 0 experience and i have never been a fan of that. Maybe its not balanced, maybe its not fun but thats just not for me and my friends. We always play against bots and its been like that for 20 years now (SC1) We do that kind of thing in SC2 now, and its even more fun with all the mods you can add to the normal base building game.
Extra minerals, better towers, more units, more upgrades, and a ton of cool things. It is my favourite RTS ever, and i even dont like Starcraft 2 all that much. I prefer Warcraft 3.
P.s. Yea, 5 years is a bit much, i cant argue with that… it almost feels like they should have made 1 extra expansion and Wings/zerg epacks should have been 1 single game. It is Blizzard we talk about, they do things slowly. Also SC2 is free now, so it really doesnt matter anymore. Whatever happened.. happened. Diablo 3 also sucked, but the expansion fixed it.
I see that you love this game and i don’t have much to tell you, i agree with that and overall i know that SC2 is not a bad game, it’s just that i don’t like how Blizzard managed the business around it like it’s the game of the century…
Speaking about Diablo 3, you sayed “fixed by the expansion” for me fixed is : adding offline play + local coop like the console counterpart, why the hell the console version has features that the PC version don’t have ?! Why i should get a constant connection to play the campaign and not in the console version ?? All the times i speak about it i get people telling me that in PC we have content earlier, to what i replie, so yes, technicaly we’re beta testers for the console definitive version… I used to love Blizzard, but they never saw my money since Diablo III came to console with a superior version.
Yeah, i hated the business part of it too, but thankfully now its the right price for the whole package, and its fully patched and working with the new physics and extra graphics. At lunch , the game was bare-bones,overpriced and took forever to get to this perfect state. I agree with you 200%. 🙂
rofl, of course the new project is a remake. They are creatively bankrupt
why not now, december 2018 ?? 🙁
is this a joke? why not warcraft 4?
Because apparently they can’t make new games anymore. Either they go remaster or they go mobile.
God im pissed about blizzcon
lol at people who were waiting for Diablo 4. Greedy f**ks at blizzard can’t make new games anymore unless they find a new and more aggressive monetization system that gets them all the money then they will release some mobile crap or remake or re-release of an old game or something.
True, Bli$$ard is risk avert, and unless they can make a million percent profit on something, they will never want to do it.
“…a stunning reimagining of the revolutionary real-time strategy game…”
If that’s what you classify as “stunning”, then…. wow. You need to raise your standards, bud.
No thank you. WC3ROC and TFT were trash in the first place – the game that ruined the RTS genre by introducing more RPG elements than RTS.
Even ignoring that it was a boring, unbalanced, creatively empty strategy game that had almost no variety in multiplayer gameplay. The only merit was in the story, and Metzen essentially lifted Frozen Throne from Star Wars anyway.
Not to mention this is where the hard-on for the Horde started.
“Not to mention this is where the hard-on for the Horde started.”
You mean the moment they stopped ripping off the Warhammer 40,000 “Human Empire vs. Evil Dark Side Orcs” stuff and actually veered out into something interesting?
OH, THE HORROR!
Anyway to the rest of you:
If you expected anything different from Blizzard, you are literally autistic. You need to go to a doctor to get tested.
It’s been 14 years since Blizzard stopped making what fans wanted. They ruined Warcraft 14 years ago (if you don’t acknowledge that WC3 ruined it before). They were NEVER going to make WC4, and they were NEVER going to make Diablo 4 after how bad Diablo 3 was.
SC2 doesn’t count, either. They released a $150 game that had the same multiplayer content as SC Battlechest. Over the course of 5? 6? years?
If you continued to support Blizzard after WC3, after WoW, after SC2, after Diablo 3, after merging with Activision, you’re a moron, and you deserve whatever they trick you into buying.
2010 was only 8 years ago, that’s when Blizzard finally died, after starting its decline in 2008. World of Warcraft wasn’t original, but at least it was a worthy “spiritual successor” to EverQuest and LineAge – before it went to sh*t, that is.
Or, I suppose 2009 would be more accurate, since Wrath of the Lich King crashed half-way through and never recovered.
Unless you actually played WC1 – 3 and know how bad they butchered the lore. WoW was trash from the beginning. I played it. For 10 years I played it and watched how they repeatedly shat on the lore, left the game world unfinished and then charged us money so they could fix it, etc. WC3 was the beginning of the end, actually.
Unless I actually have played Warcraft 1-3 and know that originally the World of Warcraft lore was fine, with Wrath of the Lich King being exactly what WC3 fans were looking forward to for a decade.
The first time they went off the rails lore-wise was Cataclysm, and then they seriously stretched it to the breaking point with Pandaria, before throwing it out the window entirely when they decided to redesign the Orcs with Draenor.
A lot of hate here.
Why?
They either offer me something I want at a price I deem acceptable, or they don’t.
If I like it, I’ll buy it. If not, then no money from me.
I choose what I want and what I agree with.
If what they offer can not please enough people and doesn’t turn up a profit, they’ll change their tactics.
Why hate?
Do.
Actions speak louder than words.

That’s fine.
ok…what jerk off reported my comment as spam?
