Ubisoft has released a brand new update for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This patch will update your game’s version to 1.0.5 and according to the developers it improves the game’s stability.
And… that’s it. This is a really small patch that does not bring any additional fixes, tweaks or improvements. As such, all of the previous bugs witnessed in version 1.0.4 are also present here.
Since I’m playing these days Odyssey, I went ahead and tested this patch. The game appeared to be working fine, like its previous version, though I have to note that I wasn’t experiencing any stability issues before.
So yeah, this patch is nothing special but since gamers will be wondering what it actually does, I thought I should let you know about it.

For me, the game crashes if I’m using BT headphones. It gets drops into the teens and just hard crashes for no reason that I can find. After a quick search, seems the previous game had the same issue for some people.
Maybe this patch will help that.
I’m wondering if they’ve fixed the mercenary system bug yet… Basically even when you get a full wanted level, mercenaries no longer hunt you once you’ve triggered this bug and there’s no way to fix. It’s permanently broken until Ubisoft fixes it or you start a new game. I would expect that with as much forum attention as this bug has gotten, it would have been explicitly mentioned in the notes if they had fixed it.

And just opens the Devuno hole big enough to be cracked.
A few bugs I noticed so far but the most annoying is the disappearing health bar. Would really like a fix that doesn’t include restarting the game.
By the time it’s near bug proof/stable, I’ll be able to pick it up on some sale!
The joys of getting older is, You can wait things out. 🙂
