Capcom has finally acknowledged the low-resolution texture issues that occur in the PC version of Monster Hunter World and stated that its next patch will fix it. In case you weren’t aware of, during character creation and in-game cutscenes some textures weren’t always loading the most optimal quality settings, resulting in some really blurry results.
Thankfully, and although there is a workaround that PC gamers can use, Capcom will fix this issue with the next title update for Monster Hunter World.
Moreover, this next patch for Capcom’s monster hunting game will improve keyboard controls. According to the team, keyboard setup will be further optimized by revisiting key assignments for certain actions.
Unfortunately there is no ETA yet on when this patch will go live, however we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

John ‘Totalbiscuit’ Bain will be smiling down in approval. ?
I Miss Totalbiscuit” 🙁
Ditto. His legacy is here assured. Even the console-centric Digital Foundry have been upping their game by having employed a new guy specifically to deliver some proper PC game analysis at long last. Echoes of the standards established by Totalbiscuit are frequent throughout.
he lost two battles that he could never win, one fight was with dumbfcks shills on the internet and the other one was his medical condition. even neat pickers on dsog won’t be able to collectively fill his absence.
Nice to see you’re making as much sense as ever.
i tried to keep it really simple, which part of it was difficult to understand exactly?
By the time this update comes out only the die hards for the series will be playing it. It’s pretty sad that Capcom has done such a p i s s poor job with the PC version that a MS game under the Windows Store is getting much higher praise.
You know. Forza Horizon 4 😀
While sure i would rather preferred that the game was perfect at launch at least Capcom is fixing the problems, unlike some major companies (Square Enix) that never adressed major issues in some of their releases and still have the balls to release DLCs while not patching the game at all.
you talking about Nier? Cause everything else under S/E as of late that dealt with them as a developer has been really good for performance. Dragon Quest XI being a very fine example.
Nier and JC3 both to this day have very serious problems, While i know that JC3 is done by Avalanche Studios i seriously doubt that the entire fault is theirs. Seeing as Mad Max is an stellar port.
Well don’t confuse S/E while being a publisher for those games. S/E as a developer has been pretty spot on for updates / performance on PC as of late.
Sure as late maybe but still don’t excuse their failures in the past, also while i get what are you saying that S/E only published those games, I can’t say that i trust much of the information that comes from S/E after the Nier specially after the damage control that they tried to do by giving excuses that is not something they could fix by themselves.
Well S/E can’t control what developers do fully… The game was never patched on console as well…
Yeah because the game was never that broken on the consoles, to this day i can’t play more than 1 hour without getting a random crash. I also would like to point out that in Platinum is the developer on the consoles in the PC as we talked is listed S/E, and every release from Platinum on PC recieved patchs to adress issues in a matter of days or weeks. Also S/E can’t control what the devs do fully, but they can when they are being requiring to release DLC ? Comon.
not that broken? Sorry but it performed a lot worse on console… And you don’t find it odd that Nier does not even get talked about anymore… Such a great game with a vivid story.. Yet forgotten so quick…
Maybe it performed worse on console due to the limitations of the hardware and due to the port also being atrocious on the console, the only reason it performed better on PC it’s because PC is able to brute force through the the bad performance and it also had the help of the community.
Without FAR mod the game will not render at the selected resolution, the game has white screen crashes deppending on your hardware, fullscreen mode is buged, the game get’s heavy pixalated at times due to low resolution AO,Bloom and Godrays also the cutscenes can suffer heavy stuterings, so yeah maybe the console release it’s not perfect but the PC version is far worse.
Also on a side note while i know this is not unique to NieR the cutscenes alone weight 27GBs that is more than half of the game size and they are not even at 1080p.
still waiting for crack
7-8 months weren’t enough?
heres my pitch for mhw for the item wheel, use the same style as dota2 or LoL’s wheel shortcut items for pc mhw for me its ok to use the keyboard type but some of my friends are struggling cuz they press f1 then look at the item choices then die its kinda pitty and annoying at the same time
After the delay it became a $30 game in my book anyway. I will likely get it this holiday season when it is actually a $30 game and it is properly optimized.
