Quake Champions is permanently free to play

Bethesda has announced that Quake Champions is permanently free to play on the PC. Not only that, but contrary to Fallout 76, the game is available on both Bethesda.net and Steam (I guess the publisher didn’t feel like removing the game from Steam as it was already there).

In Quake Champions, players will experience the latest evolution of the fastest, frag-tastic skill-based series that defined competitive First Person Shooters.

In order to celebrate this announcement, Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for Quake Champions that you can view below. In this trailer, the team unveiled a new Quake Champions character; the Death Knight from the first Quake game.

Enjoy!

      1. If TES VI is exclusive to Bethesda(dot)net then a lot of gamers will be very angry. Particularly so in light of Zenimax having,

        – no Steam Workshop available for Skyrim SE
        – (the withdrawn) Paid Mods 1.0
        – Creation Club aka Paid Mods 2.0
        – gimped modding (SnapMaps) in Doom (2016)
        – TES Online also being on Bethnet so to test the waters
        – Fallout Shelter having been a Bethnet timed-exclusive
        – Fallout 76 being exclusive to Bethnet

If their aim is to step by step destroy the remaining trust and customer goodwill then they’re doing a fine job…

        1. Isn’t that the driving ideology of every major publisher currently in the video game market?

I honestly thought it already has been for over 10 years now, already…….

          😛
