Here are 22 minutes of gameplay footage from Overkill’s The Walking Dead

Polygon has shared a new video, showing 22 minutes of gameplay footage from the E3 2018 demo of Overkill’s The Walking Dead. This video will give you an idea of what you can expect from this first-person The Walking Dead game that will release on November 6th.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a co-op first-person shooter with elements of action, role-playing, survival horror and stealth. The game will invite players to explore the hugely popular The Walking Dead universe, where they will play the role of survivors fending for themselves in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by flesh-eating walkers.

  1. The environments and more realistic art style are perfect but the gameplay/animation/voice acting is a lot like State of Decay in first person. Im a bit disappointed in this TBH.

  2. Hah people kept asking for gameplay everytime they released new CGI character trailer and kept saying that it will be just like Payday but with zombies.

    This is exactly how I imagined it.

    Not necessarily bad thing mind you, gameplay loop of Payday just works well for co-op action game. Issue is jankiness of it. Someone maybe expected that their next game gonna improve on thatbut…I say if they were able to do that they would fix it in Payday 2 already.

    Nah this is Overkill. You gonna get jank and DLCs. You either can look past that or not. I think it will do well. This ain’t Vermintide, Deep Rock Galactic or L4D. This is another game from Overkill. Lot of people can dig them despite their flaws since they do have their own…feel. IMHO!
