First gameplay video for World War Z surfaces, showing 9 minutes of gameplay footage

The first gameplay video for Saber Interactive’s World War Z has surfaced, showing 9 minutes of gameplay footage. World War Z will be a new four-player cooperative game and this video shows players exploring the game’s environments and fighting zombies.

World War Z’s co-op campaign focuses on unique survivor stories and missions around the globe, including New York, Moscow and Jerusalem. Players will be able to use traps, barriers and the environment strategically to stay alive while unleashing a storm of firepower with a variety of weapons on the unrelenting hordes of the undead.

  1. Cool, looks like this is the closest we will get to Left 4 Dead 3. I love third person games and have been playing State Of Decay 2 so I am sure I will love this. That zombie swarm tech is pretty dope.

    1. looks terrible, 3rd person where half to the screen is blocked is a trash mechanic. First person is far superior.

I remember either some interview or maybe the development commentary for the first Left 4 Dead mentioning that they initially tried to make it open world and have lots of branching paths, but that didn’t work so well in playtesting because players would get separated and didn’t know where to go, that’s also why they kept the survivors as a 4-players team, the playtesters got separated a lot when there were more than 4 players.
