After numerous delayed, NIS America has finally released Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA on the PC. And from the looks of it, this delayed PC version suffers from major porting issues and has “Mostly Negative” reviews on Steam.
According to reports, the game suffers from horrible and awful keyboard+mouse support, has its internal resolution locked, and major performance issues even on modern-day systems.
What’s really funny here is that NIS America had previously delayed the game in order to improve its performance, however, it appears that the team was unable to resolve these issues.
We’ll be sure to buy this game and see for ourselves whether this is as bad as it’s been reported, so stay tuned for our PC Performance Analysis that will most likely go live later this week!

Wow, delayed by 8 months and still a total clusterf*ck. Nippons have been complaining about NISA for years now, and while I have no experience with any of their translations, I can feel for them if it’s as bad as their PC port quality.

Dont argue ratings, destructoid had jim sterling giving mw3 a 9 and bf3 a 7, while he gave gta v a 9 and saint row iv a 10. Ratings are irrelevant when biosh1t infinite got 10/10s and kingdom come deliverance and elex got subpar ratings.
Finally its not even a god of war game, devil may cry god of war and bayonetta fans did not ask for this.
The game isnt even out, so dont even bother us with such nonsense, we have seen it all before with horizon zero awards since you care about awards so much and fallout 4 that was this “perfect” game that no one was allowed to criticize till a week has passed and the bethesda fanboys had shut up about how good Tod Howard white juice tastes. Then the REAL reviews came out and the game got proper critique.
