Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition will be released on March 6th. The Windows Edition will feature the base game and over 20 game add-ons / DLC (downloadable content), as well as new features including an expanded map of Insomnia with new enemies and side quests and a first-person camera mode.
The publisher also revealed that a benchmark tool and instructions to help players optimize their PCs for the game’s launch will be available beginning February 1st. Among other things, Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition will support native 4K and 8K resolutions with HDR10 and DOLBY ATMOS along with ongoing mod support.

so I took this as FF15 better than FF13
for starters this is open world not a linear corridor scripted cinematic mess.
The story of this FF XV, is even worse than 13, because is an incomplete mess. Full of plothole, vague description on some characters… And there are some good chance, Sh** Enix will announce the second season pass of this game, for fixing more the damage.

GTX 1050 in pair with i5 should with no problems run this game in 1080p, but japs can’t optimize -.-
A god damn ~HD7770 (console gpu) with mobile CPU can run this game in 1080p (PS4) and it’s now LOW settings.
Ofc higher system req = higher sale of pc parts….

This type of nonsense talk is getting to be pretty embarassing for us PC wannabee folk. The minimum req is a dinosaur age 7 year old cpu and a 5 year old gpu that was mid range even then.
Second, the harware from the rec tier may run the settings a dozen times up from base consoles. Shadows, AA, lod and so on. Therefore requiring beffier hardware on PC.
This type of on the fly armchair “optimization” analysis based on hot air really needs to stop. In actual fact there are less than a handfull of games each year that actually have problems. We just like to call everything unoptimized when it wont run on our ancient computers to our satisfaction, even though we dont have an ounce of knowledge about each game’s insides from a tech perspective. Our naked eye seems to be enough to pass judgement on every game after around 5 minutes with it
The reason behind this is that everyone’s PC is different. Consoles all run on the same hardware. Meaning optimizing a game to that specific hardware configuration is much easier. Unless you’re buying 2nd hand parts, its impossible to build a “console priced pc” that runs games as well.

Having played FF1-7 (whatever) on NES, SNES, PS.
And I did play them to completion as best as possible even farming the dinosaur in the forest for leveling purposes etc.
Am I missing out on some great times by not playing any of these console ports to PC?

They look amazing but are they short games and just repetitive versus the classics? Granted I bet if I played the classics now I would not like them much.

Wat did AC:Orgins run that bad? The only thing I see people complaining about was the 100 percent cpu usage. And unless you live in the Sahara desert or have poor CPU cooling that shouldn’t be a problem.
Actually the 100% CPU usage without reason is actually a big problem. Not because of cooling because yeah, cooling for anyone that has an decent idea of how to build a proper PC would be fine, the problem is that it starts to stutter. Keeping at a constant 100% CPU usage is also absurd seeing as the game is not showing anything for it’s resource hogging.
