AMD is extremely close to releasing their new family of flagship graphics cards, but as expected coming up to the launch Radeon RX Vega 56 and Vega 64 images leaked online as well as a mystery dead GPU found inside the box.
As we move closer to the launch of AMD’s RX Vega 56 and 64 reviewers across the globe are patiently waiting for the new GPU to arrive at their homes so they throw it into their test benches and review the card. Luckily for us the kind people at TechGage have already posted some pictures showing off the new card, these were quickly removed but not quickly enough for someone else to save them beforehand.

RX Vega 64 requires two 8+8-pin PCIe power connectors for a TDP of 295W. The PCIe connectors are also accompanied by the aesthetically pleasing LEDs which are available to change between red and blue.

In the above image we can see the dead Vega GPU, a cool little souvenir AMD is including within their Vega packaging. This is not the first time AMD has done this, as last year they included a defunct Fiji GPU inside of their Radeon Pro Duo package.

Hello! My name Jak Connor I’m based in Australia and I picked up PCgaming as child when I was around ten years old. I mostly played RTS games back then, putting many hours into Age of Empires 1/2 and Age of Mythology. My love for PC gaming grew and stayed with me as I now have a passion for gaming and the amazing technology jumps developers show us all the time. I pledge that I will be bringing you fine people of DSOgaming the most unique and interesting news I can find!
So, basically they give you two worthless GPUs…….got it…..lol
LMAO AYYYYEEEE
clickbait
Dear Mr. Connor,
I know you’re starting out here, but could you please tone down the pointless clickbait? Thanks in advance.
Yep, misleading title is misleading.
Indeed. VERY misleading. I was about to say “Stop the relentless 2 articles a day about vega, it’s getting old” but hell i’m still gonna say it
STOP the mindless vega articles. We all KNOW by now what the gpu is good for and what’s it’s bad at…
I think we all should focus on the important thing here, and that is the family of the card.
We should wait the police report before jumping to conclusions.
The title is a bit too much misleading…
The title should have been along these lines: SHOCKING!!! DEAD VEGA 64 GPU FOUND IN AMD RADEON RX VEGA BOX! GAMERS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE OUTRAGED! Click to see more!
It’s a nice souvenir, despise all the complains AMD delivered what they promised and considering the price it’s worth it if you have a Rysen Build (NVidia doesn’t play well with Rysen).
A dead GPU for a dead-on-launch architecture. How fitting 🙂
DSOG wanting to become the new WCCFTech.
yeah i’m beginning to lose faith in the admins of this site
they publish such unworthy crap nowadays i feel like someone’s paying them to bust AMD’s balls
i wonder who… (hint hint, it’s Intel)
“From this image we can see the RX Vega 64’s two 8+8-pin PCIe power connectors for a TDP of 295W.”
TDP (Thermal Design Power) is a rating for the cooler on how much heat it is designed to dissipate not how many watts the GPU will use. Also two 8 Pin plugs are rated for 150 watts each and the PCIe slot on the mobo provides an additional 75 watts so this card will be in spec if it uses up to 375 watts for the overclockers.
DSO is a joke
Guys dont complain, at least this is not another “some AMD thing runs another game much slower than some nvidia thing”
Wonder when I can find some less obtuse benchmark test, for example, someone who wait at least the proper drivers for the new card to be released. Also AMD prices drop faster than Nvidia and Intel ones, so not recommending something because it runs 5fps slower but it will cost much less, well doesn’t sound as a good journalism.
