Unreal Engine 4 – Full Elemental Comparison Between PS4 and PC

Unreal Engine 4
Epic Games has showcased the full Elemental tech demo of Unreal Engine 4, running on PS4. A while back, we posted a comparison between an early version of the Elemental’s PS4 version and its PC counterpart. Today, and since Epic Games had more time on their hands, we decided to make another comparison between the latest PS4 and the PC version of the Elemental Tech Demo. Contrary to our previous comparison, this time we won’t comment on what we think looks the best. The PC version is on the left, whereas the PS4 version is on the right. We’ve also included a comparison video, courtesy of YouTube’s member ‘kaltask1’. Enjoy!

Unreal Engine 4 v3
A couple of days ago, we presented you a teaser trailer from an upcoming GDC 2013 trailer of Unreal Engine 4. Today, we bring you its full-length GDC 2013 tech demo in all its glory. As with the Samaritan demo, this new tech demo shows the potential of Epic’s latest game engine and does not represent a game that is currently under development. Bioshock: Infinite – PC Performance Analysis

Bioshock Infinite v2
Bioshock: Infinite has been released and it’s time to see how Irrational Games’ title performs on the PC platform. Bioshock: Infinite is the third part in the Bioshock franchise and this time around, Irrational Games did not repeat its earlier mistakes and decided to take advantage of the PC hardware. This means that the PC version comes with higher resolution textures than its console counterparts, as well as with some exclusive DX11 features. Bioshock: Infinite is a DX10/DX11 only title, and Irrational has also implemented an in-game FOV slider, so kudos to the company for at least listening to the PC crowd. Bioshock: Infinite – PC Version Suffers From Auto-Aim Assist In Iron-Sights Mode

Bioshock Infinite v4
Bioshock fans, we got some bad news for you today. It appears that the PC version of Bioshock: Infinite suffers from auto-aim assist while entering the iron sight mode. At first, this bug was reported to be present once players plugged in a gamepad, however this issue can be spotted even if you’ve never used a gamepad (as we’ve encountered it ourselves during our playthrough). This issue/bug seems like a leftover from the console version, as this auto-aim assist is something common for most console games. In order to fix it, PC gamers will have to start the game with a controller plugged in, disable aiming assist in the Controller Options and unplug the controller. You can find a video demonstration below, and we should note – once again – that this bug is present even if you haven’t used a gamepad before.
