Unity Technologies and IGT Form Multi-year Partnership; Will Showcase Titles At G2E in Las Vegas

Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity multi-platform engine and development tools, announced a multi-year strategic partnership with IGT. IGT will showcase games created in Unity at IGT’s booth (#2241 and #2637) at G2E in Las Vegas from October 1-4. Unity Technologies will also demonstrate their industry leading development technology at Unity’s booth (#1327).
Unity, used by slot manufacturers and online gambling companies around the world to create some of the most exciting and compelling interactive gambling content, is on its way to becoming one of the most widely used middleware solutions for development in the gambling industry. The Unity developer community counts 1.2 million registered developers strong and includes thousands of game studios across the world. Unity is an excellent solution for gambling companies (land-based, online & mobile) looking to work with development houses already familiar with the powerful, deep, and efficient development tools.
Chris Satchel, CTO, IGT said:
“We are excited by the opportunities offered by combining IGT’s world-class platform and game development, with the power and productivity of the Unity engine. This is an important step in helping us produce our next generation of industry leading games.”
Unity, a development platform most widely used in video games, is known for its efficient design, enabling wild creativity while keeping development cycles and costs down. In-editor play testing allows for lightning fast iteration and the excellent art pipeline allows art assets to be saved from any popular art tool (Photoshop, Maya, Modo, etc.) and affect change to every instance of that asset across the project automatically.
Conference attendees can visit Unity Technologies at booth #1327 for a demonstration of the Unity development platform.
