New STALKER 2 screenshots July 2020-2

STALKER 2 will support Ray Tracing according to its Microsoft Xbox Page

STALKER 2 was one of the most promising games that were shown during Microsoft’s Xbox July 2020 event. And, according to the game’s Microsoft Xbox Page, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will support real-time ray tracing effects.

As we can clearly see, Microsoft has added a Ray Tracing tag to the game. STALKER 2 will be using Unreal Engine 4, and targets next-generation platforms. Thus, it makes sense for GSC GameWorld to use Ray Tracing.

STALKER 2 is a unique blend of FPS, immersive sim and horror, with a really thick atmosphere. The game promises to feature one of the biggest seamless open-world environments. Earlier this month, GSC GameWorld released an in-engine trailer, demonstrating the level of graphics it aims to achieve. This trailer does not represent the quality of the final build, even though it uses in-game models.

STALKER 2 aims to feature an epic, non-linear story. Not only that, but your choices will influence both short-term consequences and global outcomes. The game will take place inside the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Moreover, it will have new locations along with the old ones.

Alongside Ray Tracing, GSC GameWorld will be using motion-capture for both bodies and faces, as well as photogrammetry. Additionally, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will support mods at launch day.

Lastly, STALKER 2 will not feature any Battle Royale mode or VR support!
