Modder ‘dez0wave’ and his team have released a brand new version of the Lost Alpha mod for the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. This is a full official repack with the base Lost Alpha game, and all patches and addons bundled together up till now.
Basically, and as the team described it, it’s a game, which contains hundreds of fixes, and if not more addons, and extras since the first DC release.
All you have to do in order to install it is download the DC 1.4005 installer from here, unpack all parts and run setup. You’ll have then to install the game somewhere, and play. Do note, however, that you will need to start a new game, and that you shouldn’t install this latest version of the mod on a previous Lost Alpha installation.
In case you weren’t aware of, the Lost Alpha mod aims to bring back to life the old design and atmosphere of the STALKER build that was shown back in 2002. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Lost Alpha features new levels and enemies, overhauls the game’s visuals, and packs numerous gameplay improvements and enhancements.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Lost Alpha Developer’s Cut 1.4005 enables detail textures and bumps for many surfaces, tweaks all weather cycles and brightness-related console parameters, improves weapons ballistics, fully implements DX10 renderer and gamma, adds inventory weight during trade and more.
