Red Dead Redemption 2 April 2nd Update released, fixes numerous crashes and bugs, full patch notes


Rockstar has released a brand new update for Red Dead Redemption 2. According to the release notes, the April 2nd Update fixes a number of crashes and bugs/glitches. It also improves overall stability.

Going into more details, this new patch fixes a crash that occurred when switching between graphics APIs and display modes on some systems. It also fixes several crashes and stuttering issues when using Vulkan on some systems with multiple graphics cards. Not only that, but it fixes an issue that caused flickering or missing textures on some weapons.

As always, Steam and the Rockstar launcher will download the April 2nd Update the next time you launch their clients. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash on launch with ‘ERR_GFX_STATE’ due to a corrupted shader cache.
