Gotham Knights & Suicide Squad are Warner Bros’ new next-gen games

Earlier this weekend, two new domains for a new Suicide Squad and a Batman game surfaced online. According to reports, these domains were registered by the company responsible for Warner Bros’ games/IPs. And, according to Eurogamer, Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad are indeed Warner Bros’ upcoming next-gen games.

From what we know so far, Warner Bros Montreal is working on the Gotham Knights game. On the other hand, Rocksteady is the team that is working on the Suicide Squad game.

These two games will be teased during Warner Bros’ upcoming DC FanDome event on August 22nd. However, it appears that we won’t be able to get our hands on these games for a while.

As Eurogamer noted, both of these games are developed for next-gen platforms. Also, the Batman game is the one that will release first.

Warner Bros has been hinting at this Gotham Knights game for a while. From what we know so far, this Batman game will be a “Court of Owls” game. In December 2018, WB Montreal’s Assistant Producer shared an image of a T-shirt that featured a logo almost identical to the Court of Owls symbol. In September 2019, Scott Snyder, creator of Court of Owls, also hinted at this game. Its latest rumour suggested that the whole Batman family will also be playable.

Similarly, we don’t know much about the Suicide Squad game. Back in November 2018, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier claimed that Rocksteady’s unannounced project may be a game about a group of superheroes, and that it could be a Games as a Service (GaaS) game.
