Control generated €17.7 million in its first month, Death Stranding PC expected to generate €50 million in total revenue

Digital Bros, the parental company of 505 Games, has shared its Q1 2019 financial results. According to Digital Bros, there was a significant revenue growth in the first quarter and improvement of all financial metrics. This revenue growth was mainly thanks to the performance of both Control and Bloodstained.

In case you’re wondering, the first quarter of the company’s financial report does not cover the sales of the first three months of the year. Instead, it covers the sales of July, August and September.

What this means is that in its first month, Control generated €17.7 million. After all, Control came out on August 27th. This is without the additional income that Digital Bros received from Epic Games for releasing the game exclusively on EGS. On the other hand, Bloodstained sales amounted to €5.5 million.

Digital Bros has also stated that it expects to generate lifetime revenue in excess of €50 million from the PC version of Death Stranding. This basically means that the company expects to sell from 834K to 1 million copies of Death Stranding on the PC.

It will be interesting to see whether the sales of Control will increase over the next few months. Will it be a financial flop or a commercial success? Will 505 Games give the green light to Remedy for a sequel or a new game? Moreover, it will be interesting to see whether Death Stranding PC will meet Digital Bros’ expectations.

Stay tuned for more!
