Capcom will present an action adventure game at E3 2018

E3 2018 begins next month and it appears that Capcom will showcase an action adventure game during this event. Contrary to the previous CD Projekt RED listing, however, this is a trickier as Capcom has a lot of projects under way.

As the E3 2018 official website reveals, Capcom will have an action adventure game for PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch and a fighting game for PC and PS4. The fighting game seems to be Street Fighter V so I believe we should focus on the action adventure game.

While the listing does not clarify anything at this point, there is a good chance that these are two action adventure games (instead of one), one for Nintendo Switch and one for PC/Xbox One. If that’s the case, then the first action adventure game could be Okami HD for Switch and the second could be Dead Rising 5. After all, Capcom has already stated that it will dedicate the focus of its Vancouver studio to its Dead Rising franchise.

Devil May Cry fans may be wishing for a new DMC game, however we don’t believe that’s the case here. A Devil May Cry game skipping PS4 does not make any sense, unless of course Microsoft has made a new, unannounced exclusivity deal with Capcom. Furthermore, this action adventure game does not seem to be Resident Evil 2 Remake (as this game is coming on all current-gen platforms).

So, there is nothing set on stone yet about Capcom’s games. And while we don’t know what this/these action adventure game/games actually are, we do know that Capcom will show something. As such, it will be interesting to see what Capcom will be presenting.
