Atomic Heart screenshots 3

Atomic Heart is alive, new gameplay footage surfaces, is similar to Bioshock and Prey

It’s been a while since we last heard from Mundfish and Atomic Heart, right? Well, good news everyone as Alexey Makarenko has visited Mundfish and has shared his opinion about the game itself, as well as its gameplay mechanics.

According to Makarenko, Atomic Heart is not a first-person shooter with RPG elements. It’s also not an RPG with shooter elements. Instead, this game feels like a Bioshock or Prey game. Makarenko described it as an immersive sim with shooter and fighting mechanics. The game will also allow players to level up their weapons and abilities, and there will be both crafting and looting. Moreover, the game will have some puzzles that players will have to solve.

As Makareko said:

“Overall feelings, they are close to Bioshock or Prey. It’s partly reminiscent of Dishonored, and a little bit of Metro. Plus a bit of Zeno Clash and other fighting games in first-person mode.”

In the following video, Makareko talks a bit more about Atomic Heart’s gameplay mechanics. Moreover, Makareko played the game for 4 hours and visited five locations. Two of them were small, the other two were big and the last one was a bonus location.

There is currently no ETA on when Atomic Heart will come out. Still, RTX owners can download a Ray Tracing Tech Demo from here.

Enjoy!
