Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin’s Creed Origins will be free to play this weekend. From June 19th and until June 21st, PC gamers will be able to download and play the previous Assassin’s Creed game for free.
Moreover, the game is already available for pre-load, so we strongly suggest downloading right now. That is of course if you are interested in playing this AC game. Naturally, PC gamers will be able to transfer their progress to the full game once – and if – they purchase it.
In order to celebrate this free to play weekend, Ubisoft released a new Assassin’s Creed Origins trailer.
In this AC game, players will be able to to stroll the bustling streets of Alexandria, sail the crocodile-infested waters of the Nile, and climb to the top of the Pyramids of Giza. As the title suggests, the game is set in the richly detailed open world of Ancient Egypt.
Do note that the game uses Denuvo and VMProtect. After some benchmarks, we’ve discovered that these protection systems are causing additional stutters to the game. Furthermore, it’s a really demanding game, even for today’s PC systems. Still, and since you can play it for free, you can at least download and try it.
