Anno 1800 has been delayed until April 16th, closed beta begins on January 31st

Ubisoft has just announced that Anno 1800 has been delayed until April 16th. The publisher claimed that while it is very happy with where the game and its wide mix of new and classic features are today, it has decided to delay it in order to further polish it.

“We are very happy with where the game and its wide mix of new and classic features are today, but we know that it can be even better with a little additional polish and tuning. These extra weeks will allow us to deliver a game that fully lives up to its potential.”

Ubisoft has also announced that starting next week on January 31st, its Closed Beta test will allow many fans to get their hands on the game to see for themselves how it is bringing the world of the industrial revolution to Anno. Moreover, there won’t be any NDA for this beta, meaning that players can share their videos and screenshots.

Last but not least, Ubisoft will reveal more news and details regarding Anno 1800 in the coming weeks, such as an all-new feature, more details on the multiplayer, Anno 1800’s campaign and its orchestral soundtrack.
