2K Games has removed Denuvo from Mafia: Definitive Edition

2K Games and Hangar 13 have removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Mafia: Definitive Edition. In addition, the publisher is offering the game with a 40% discount on Steam until September 30th.

Mafia Definitive Edition is using the Mafia 3 Engine, and came out in September 2020. The game will expand its story to give insights into characters we only got to glimpse in the original game. Furthermore, the game will feature a larger Lost Heaven to explore, motorcycles as a new vehicle type, collectibles to seek out and more.

As its description reads:

“After a run-in with the mob, cab driver Tommy Angelo is thrust into a deadly underworld. Initially uneasy about falling in with the Salieri crime family, Tommy soon finds that the rewards are too big to ignore.”

Mafia Definitive Edition is also a really beautiful game. Below you can find a video showing the game running in 8K with Reshade Ray Tracing. It looks amazing, so be sure to watch it. You can also find our PC Performance Analysis here.
