We’ve seen in the past FXAA Injector in action with Bethesda’s RPG but did you know that you can get it working in Battlefield 3? Not only that, but the end result can be pretty amazing. Contrary to the in-game FXAA method, this custom one includes a sharpening filter that helps with the overall image quality. Moreover, players can adjust the colors and make no mistake guys, saturation and contrast can make a big difference to the game’s visuals. Oh, and get this right; FXAA Injector doesn’t introduce any additional performance hit and removes that annoying HDR effect that most PC gamers were complaining about. Don’t believe us? Keen Software House announced today a new project: Miner Wars 2.5D, a fast-paced arcade game inspired by classical legend of PC gaming history Tuneller. In Miner Wars 2.5D, player controls one mining ship and ventures through an underground labyrinth of pathways, old abandoned mines, asteroids and military bases. Situated in a fully destructible environment, player is not forced to use already existing pathways, but can (and should) make tunnels of his own using the ship’s equipment – especially drill and explosives. Great news for all those Thief fans out there as the team behind the astounding ‘Thief Mod’ for Doom 3 has just rolled out a new, massive update for it. The Dark Mod version 1.7 is now available and can be either downloaded from the tdm_update.exe file, or by visiting its ModDB Page. This new update comes with lots of features, such as: international language localization support for missions, translated HUD, GUI and Menus, vine Arrows, and new combat animations and sounds. It’s a bit ironic. We’ve seen lots of PC games with minimal post-launch support – and two, one or none patches that would fix their bugs – and Frozenbyte has already released six patches for the beta version of their upcoming side-scrolling puzzle adventure platformer, Trine 2. And make no mistake, these are not some meaningless patches as they really enhance the overall gaming experience and fix or add crucial features.
