    280x > 970

At AMD, we work on greatness.

    Praise me.

    • dood

      Gord gord gord gord

    • Amiga 4000

“RECOMMENDED OS: Windows® 10 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)”

Probably this is next DirectX 12 game. Last month MS said that EA used DX12 in Star Wars on Xbox (and DX11 on PC). Maybe Mirrors Edge will be first DX12 game from EA on PC. All DX12 games have great boost in performance on AMD hardware because of “asychronic shaders” nad “resource binding – Tier 3 (bindless)”.

  • Primey

    970 or 280X?

Yikes I guess they have been working with AMD more on optimizing it for their GPUs.

    • Russell Collins

      DX12 bruh

      • Primey

Very possible but they haven’t confirmed dx12 “bruh”

  • Lamine23

    GTX 970 4GB=Radeon™ R9 280x 3GB

    WTF

    • Amiga 4000

“RECOMMENDED OS: Windows® 10 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)”

Probably DirectX 12. This is not first DX12 game where AMD have great boost in performance.

      • renz

So with dx12 650ti will be on par with 270X? heck in DX11 270X is even faster than 660.

        • Edilson Jr Pinto

NOPE. Windows 7 for 650Ti and 270X is DX11. With DX11 nvidia have better driver, but in DX12……. sorry nvidia, sorry my GTX 970!

          • renz

If so then isn’t that amd in trouble? Because not all developer going to use DX12. DX12 is not like how DX11 to DX9.

          • Edilson Jr Pinto

Disagree. All developers will use DX12, problem only for who has old nVidia’s GPU. DX9 and 11 have a death’s date on table.

          • renz

Nope. Most developer will stick with high level API on pc. And for a good reason.

    • Kyle Jackson

3.5 out of 4 people love Nvidia.

And yes I know that it has 4gb of Vram, but in 2 parts.

      • MaskWell?
        PasteCall?

        • Kyle Jackson

          Nolaris?

          • FailWell, FailDozer
            GrillMe, GimpWorks

… lol give some more, i dont remember all of it 😀

          • Kyle Jackson

            I’m out 😀

      • Primey

        So original mate.

        • Kyle Jackson

          I’m not your mate.

          • Edilson Jr Pinto

            I believe yes, you are.

          • Kyle Jackson

            Errr

          • It is you

            Get a room you two…

          • Kyle Jackson

            Huh?

  • Dawid Freeman

This is Frostbyte soo it will run like a dream on PC.

    • Amiga 4000

True. I also hope for great performance boost from DX12 (only W10 as single recommended OS)

      • AMD_Afficionado

Sigh, I remember when this was to be a Mantle game.

Were it still, or had it become a Vulkan game, I could play it properly.

        • Amiga 4000

Nobody uses Vulkan. You can check full list of Vulkan games on Wikipedia – one indie title “Tales of Principle”. All new AAA games use DirectX 12 because Windows 10 64bit is most popular system on Steam Survey

          Vulkan = OpenGL

          • WrATH

Vulkan hasn’t be out long at all and it will mainly be used for Linux, no doubt DX12 will dominate Windows games.

          • AMD_Afficionado

Vulkan will be used, it’s just a matter of time.

…mostly because Valve is painfully slow to act, the Ents of the software world. But if the rumors of Sony’s PS4.5 (“Neo”) and Nintendo’s NX using Vulkan are true…

    • Danial

      And 720p on console

  • dagoat

no steam no buy as always, except for bf3 and bf4

    • djghost1133

Dont let steam be a monopoly. It hurts everyone.

    • AMD_Afficionado

If you’ve already broken down and purchased 2 games on Origin, what’s another one?

    • dagoat

I don’t want to force myself into making multiple accounts on different clients that i don’t even like

      • Gene

        Big deal.

        • It is you

Steam’s great financial success means it’s inevitably becoming just another ruthless corporation focused solely on the easiest ways of making profit.

          How was it…

Go steamy with vegans or something!

As to our “beloved” m$oft aggressively and insidiously pushing their recent abortion Winton – I see it as a great opportunity to get out of rotten aaa business.

      • DamZe

        Cry me a river…..

  • ???

  • ?enan Hajrovi?

Frostbyte loves amd cards and dice is an amd partner.

  • SGTBuzzyBean

DX12 shouldn’t be making the 970 and 280X equal imo.

  • bdp

My cpu is below the requirements but my gpu is above it. i wonder how this will go.
