Mighty No. 9 Has Gone Gold, Releases This June

Comcept announced today that its upcoming platformer, Mighty No. 9, has gone gold and is now scheduled for a June release. This basically means that the game has been slightly delayed again, as Comcept claimed that it was meant to be released this Spring.

As Keiji Inafune said:

“We have now confirmed the following release dates for Mighty No. 9: June 21st 2016 (North America & Asia) and June 24th 2016 (World Wide). We understand that as a result of the various delays we have disappointed and let down our fans, but we are happy to finally be able to deliver the game to everyone who brought us this far.”

There is really nothing more to add here. Mighty No. 9 has been delayed three times. The game was originally meant to be released in September 2015. Then, it got delayed to February, to Spring 2016, and now to June 2016.

Let’s hope that Mighty No. 9 is worth the wait, and that it is a great spiritual successor to Mega Man!
