SEGA and Gearbox revealed that Aliens: Colonial Marines’ final DLC, Stasis Interrupted, will be released next week on PC, X360 and PS3. As its description reads, Stasis Interrupted tells the story of what happened to Hicks between Aliens and Alien 3 through the eyes of three different characters.
“The story begins as Lisbeth Hutchins and other passengers onboard the spaceship Legato wake unexpectedly from hypersleep and must figure out why their vessel has been diverted to intercept the Sulaco leaving LV-426’s orbit. Fight your way through the alien-infested spaceship, find out what Michael Weyland is after, and discover what truly happened to Hicks.”
Stasis Interrupted will pack new Achievements and Trophies, and will be rolling out on all platforms beginning July 23th (July 24th for PlayStation 3 players in Europe) and will be available individually or as part of the Aliens: Colonial Marines Season Pass, a bundle that includes access to the previously released Bug Hunt mode, Reconnaissance Pack and Movie Map Pack.
SEGA will also release a new update for Aliens: Colonial Marines prior to the release of this new DLC that will feature some gameplay and AI tweaks, as well as various fixes. Still, don’t expect major changes to its core gameplay mechanics or any further enhancements to the game’s visuals.
After the patches the game is actually quite good. Almost looks like the demo, still there are a few bugs though.

really huh? Maybe this might be worth a buy at the right price. AI improved a lot?

The graphics mainly, some of the patches were gb big, so it looks nothing like before, the lighting is greatly improved, it actually looks impressive now. The gameplay has alot of fixes but there are still ai bugs here and there. The aliens seem to like crawling on walls. Many people said that they didnt do that but get stuck on objects before the patch. To my suprise the game is a bit difficult, you dotn have health regen and enemies are really fast, health and armor is scarce and you can carry all the guns at the same time. Its more close to the original idea than what current fps outhere are.
Definetly longer than 5 hours. Worths a low price.

Anyone who buys this DLC needs to be beaten with a baseball bat.

To be fair, gearbox didnt make either duke nukem forever or colonial marines, just finished them. On the case of colonial marines, the build timegate gave em was a mess, it was well beyond memory limit on ps3, they had to take it apart and patch things together to make it playable…and it was trash, but they are dedicated to keep on improving the game, cant say the same for most games outhere.
The singleplayer duke nukem dlc tha they made was pretty good, so was their latest borderlands dlc and if they make this one, who knows maybe its good. Its their design, not a game another studio made and they had to somehow fix the broken ai scripts and scripted events glitches. The dlc would be better than the game and will work, but i agree, no one should buy this so gearbox will stop releasing crap that they DIDNT make.

Sorry, but you are WAY WRONG. First, Gearbox was SUPPOSED to be the only developer of the game to begin with. Beyond that fact, Gearbox was the one promoting the game (SEGA being a silent publisher), and they were the ones who decided to let TimeGate develop the game….something they kept secret from journalists, gamers, and even SEGA…while they worked on Borderlands 2. What Gearbox did was wrong, and contractually illegal. They were getting paid handsomely by SEGA to take the reigns of a very important franchise…and they farmed it out to scrubs, without clearing it with the publisher.

I agree completly, we basicly said the same thing, you were more vocal about it, i agree. But i am still more pissed of all the lies ken levene and irrational games told about bioshock infinite to be furious about that.Atleast colonial marines was the same game shown, just unfinished, bioshock infinite is not even the same game shown in interviews and e3 videos. They removed everything.

I´ll probably buy this game when it gets really…but really really cheap. (Now it is at 50% at Steam = 24,99€…like nope)
5 Hours as Dakan said for that price is “way too much”. Metro LL DLC can last the same (if you take it slow and enjoy what you are doing mostly at the Library part) and it costs 5€.
I love the first and the second Alien Movies and after watching reviews and a couple of game-plays of the game I got really mad with what they did with it.
I took it off from my desired games list and almost forgot about it.
Next summer at a 85% discount with all DLC´s (for 5 euros) it probably be mine.
Dakan45
Its longer than 5 hours, i think 25 euro is the right price for it,

I bought like 5 games already and I have 14,93€ in my Steam wallet only. lol

Max payne 3, dishonored, deus ex human revolution and most of the AAA games outhere for under 10 bucks, gotta love steam.

Well, I personally wouldn’t put Ken Levine and Randy Pitchford in the same company, in terms of their transgressions. Nothing about the development process for Bioshock Infinite could be considered a lie, or deception….the game simply evolved over the last 2 years, to the point that it didn’t look/feel as much as what was shown in the original reveal. That’s fine by me, as they own the IP, and have every right to change the story, graphics, etc. as they see fit. But I will say that my wife and BOTH nodded off multiple times in the first 3-4 hours of playing Bioshock Infinite, and we ultimately agreed that it was the game, and not us…and so I dumped it on eBay for $7 less than I’d paid for it.

Actually the game devolved. It was a bioshock game, they removed what made if bioshock. No multiple ammo types, no hacking, non nonlinear areas.
If you go back and check E3 2011, you will see the levels were bigger, nonlinear with better enviroments, when looting you could choose one of the two items which suited the alternative universes theme well, elizabeth had powers and cooldown, scripted sequences were better. You had the choice to avoid some fights, there were alarms. You could bring diffirent things and not the same tears all over. Even the sound was better and many of the dialogues were better than the actual game. If you coundt take the first 3-4 hours, then you should now that those were the good ones. The rest of the game devolves into going into a arena shaped area, killing bad guys, mashing the use button to pick up money and spend them on vending machines. Then you repeat, again and again and again till you cloak 15 hours, its like the few scripted moments and varied situations that infinite had the first 3-4 hours were scrapped for repetitive arena gunfights and money hoarding. This is now why i play linear shooters, if i wanted endless repettive grinding id play borderlands 2, not bioshock infinite.
The game has devolved alot, they should have just made it 5-6 hours of GOOD gameplay than copy and paste the same gunfights and essentially make a game with filler gameplay to provide something to do till you get to the next story bits. Kinda like alan wake.
